  1. Probably the same way as certain shampoos give 70% more body, 80% more shine, and 90% more confidence.
  2. Well here's a link (I presume you're talking about these ones) the advert where the monk feels guilty for killing all those bacteria...groan http://www.kleenex.com/au/range_antiviral.asp
  3. "erm...errr...hmmm, ....no it's gone" so with nothing to add, Bush jumps on his bike when suddenly...

That's such a sweeping generalization, I'm not even sure where to begin...so I won't. Plus we're going off topic, so maybe you should start another thread and air your views on the sexes. Though if you do a search you'll probably find plenty of similar discussion already. I think it's a bit more of a complicated issue in this day and age as your making out.

Herme3 I can think of several occasions where I've been out and I've just started talking to a girl who was in the vicinity, without even considering or caring what she looks like, and through the simple fact that we 'get on' I've ended up going on dates that way. As for good looking people being generally nicer people... surely you don't really think that. Your obviously a very caring person, and I'm sure (whoever you do eventually start seeing) will really appreciate you for that, but your taking it way too far, to the point that you denying yourself happiness, everyone has the right to be happy, but you can't just sit around waiting for it to happen.

Is this from your wealth of experience with women ? Honestly Herme3 the only reason this thread has gone on for so long, is because there's no getting through to you. Earlier you said you don't need to experience relationships because people have advised you on what it's like...that's the equivalent of saying I don't need to visit Japan because people have told me what it's like.

Going by your whole attitude on relationships / dating et.c you sound like you have a low self-esteem more than anything...think about it Herme 3 the world would be in a sorry state if nobody went on dates through fear of hurting each others feelings' date=' try to stop dwelling on the negative side of things...also, though it may sound like a contradiction women aren't these innocent angels that you seem to have fixated in your head, they can be just as cruel as men in relationships. It's you that has this daft attitude, not everyone around you being callous and unfeeling. As for waiting around for the perfect women...how on earth is that going to happen unless you go out and meet as many people as possible. It's not going to fall in your lap one day...well it might, it's happend to me a few times, but when I've been [i']out[/i], socialising...and I'm pretty shy around people sometimes.

herme3, people do move on after relationships, and how are you going to gauge who is right for you unless you take the plunge (it's the, you don't know somebody unless you live with them...and the same can be with relationships.) I'm not sure how old you are, but don't worry too much about hurting someones feelings, it's harsh at the time, but it passes...you need to get out and enjoy yourself.
  11. No, you obviously havn't studied history...see what the Romans were up to, and say we're more liberal.
  12. However the customer service is getting slower / sh*tter in the UK.
  13. Off the top of my head Bizarre magazine has had plenty of pics of mutations. Try back issues, or maybe visit the website.
  14. I time I remember which always lulls me out of feeling down, is when I had a hideous dead end job, no direction in life and had a series of short meaningless relationships - a year later I was trekking through the Andes with quite literally the world at my feet, having an awesome time. I could of never forseen that I was going to have such great experiences compared to my situation in the previous year. Sometimes (as long as I stay positive) the mystery of what is coming round the corner is something that really keeps me going.
  15. If it weren't for horses we would have never had this...http://horsehater.blogspot.com/ Disclaimer : this blog contains very strong language, and offensive material.
  16. I'm sure the sock black hole is spewing it's contents into my bedroom. I seem to have double the socks I had, say a few months ago...and I have absolutely no idea where they came from. I can't even remember the last pair I bought. I found a spring roll in one last Sunday...strange things are a foot in the Snail bedroom.
  17. I really do hope they start researching psychoactive chemicals seriously...there are huge cultural divides that have stemmed from the sixties through propoganda (you still see the media blaming the effects of substances directly for criminal behaviour.) and just plain ignorance. I wonder what other prominent figures are keeping their so called 'skeletons' in the closet through fear of not being taken seriously, or being over scrutinised...if their inventions / revelations were derived from a 'profound' chemically induced experience. Wasn't 'Nobel Prize Winner' Frank Wilczek sporting a t-shirt from an Amsterdam 'head' shop, in his lecture 'The Universe is a Strange Place.' He's probably tea-total, but I'm sure credibility is smeared if people are know to 'dabble'.
  18. I'm pretty sure Hermann Minkowski (one of Einsteins teachers) came up with the idea of unifying space and time...which helped general relativity to be realised. The idea stemmed from Lorentz geometry.
  19. Well errr, yeah, but don't you think it's better to take precautionary measures incase of a tradegy, rather than not bothering under the assumption the entire human race is going to be wiped out ?
  20. Please see the article below (you may have to scroll down the page a bit) http://www.physorg.com/news9794.htmlJan%2012 Norway is to build a "doomsday vault" in a mountain close to the North Pole that will house a vast seed bank to ensure food supplies in the event of catastrophic climate change, nuclear war or rising sea levels, New Scientist says.
  21. Airplane rocks !
  22. There's so many that are equally up there with my top 5 I'd forgotten about... The Young Ones, The New Statesman, Comic Strip, Monty Pythons Flying Circus, Scrubs, Spaced, South Park, Black Books, Have I got News for You, Alexi Sayle (his own show...can't remember the name, probably The Alexi Sayle Show:) and I always catch Never Mind the Buzzcocks for some Monday relief...christ, I watch far too much telly.
