I've seen shipping containers used for many things from offices to nightclubs (several containers in that case). If all of your equipment will fit into it with adequate working space then I would say it is a good idea. The only ways I can see that it could theoretically affect your work is that you may need an external wifi antenna (assuming you use wifi) and possible effects on anything you may have that relies on magnets due to the all steel construction. (You may find it advisable to fit it with levelling jacks in case of uneven or sloping sites.)

Rather than merely converting symbols to numbers, maybe you should look up Gödel Numbers (here's a good simplified explanation http://www.jamesrmeyer.com/ffgit/GodelSimplified3.html). Basically every possible combination of symbols can be used to create a unique number.

I think you may have misunderstood (I can be a bit vague sometimes). By "standing facing parallel", I mean that a line taken through your body from front to rear should be parallel to the wall.

Well I'm just going to relax and listen to the Berlin Philharmonic performing the 1812. (Herbert von Karajan conducting) yet again.

I do things in text mode when it's faster to do it that way or because software does not exist to do what I want. It's very often quicker to write a script for a one off job than it would be to search internet for software that does something vaguely similar and then have to hack it anyway to do what I want.

Android is Linux as far as the kernel goes but does not use XWindows which is what you would need for this type of job.

Easy enough in Linux - XWindows has been capable of this for decades.

I still switch to text mode for programming or using software that requires a multitude of parameters (hundreds of menus and buttons can be a real pain in the arse when a simple command will do the job).
