How about staying current on the research...maybe use the current research to write articles on the topics that interest you? This would give you a nice portfolio of interesting topics while allowing you to stay sharp!

My 3 kids are really into science and want to create their own science lab at home to further their learning and gain hands-on experience. My youngest is in 5th grade and will be in the middle school next year. All 3 of my kids are advanced in academics and need something far more than what the school provides. Biology and chemistry are there favorite topics. Where should I start? Any resources out there to help us build our own lab? Thanks in advance!
