Do I need to add a heating device inside vacuum chamber in order to accomplish evaporation or just put the chemical mixture inside. I noticed water and milk will boil, nitrogen will freezes but when they asked me to evaporate in vacuum this mean adding fire or heat?

I wonder how can I check my chemical for activity and if is there an easier way like just adding active carbon anyway if is active or not. Thanks
