As a transhumanist i believe every person is resposible for the perfection of his body, intellect and moral qualities. I am currently test all the new methods of improving myself which are avalaible for me. For my body i do exercices. The good shape is a visible proof of doing well. For my brain i use different nootropics and investigate the results with all possible details. I can admit it is helpful and effective cause i can registrate i calculate faster, have better memory and am able to concentrate more easily. For the health of my subconscious i use some routine to operate my dreams and to reduce the stress by art therapy. And this one is the most difficult part of all three. The result isn't visible, i am not sure it helps and i can't ask my conscious about it too. I can never support people who take drugs but i see this problem as a lack of methods to operate our subconscious and some instincts. It's a big failure of the modern science we still do not have useful dophamine in pills which can have the same effect as drugs do but safe for health and brain. This dophamine should not switch a person off the society but give some enthusiasm to be an effective part of it.

Hello! Here are some stories i remember reading your essay. May be interesting for you too. 1. Bernard Siegal, an attorney who was trying to protect the human rights of supposely cloned child. 2. Reproductive process of human cloning is not prohibited in many countries. In Russia, for a moment the moratorium was ended at 2007, and it's not banned for now the same as in USA. The monkey was cloned in 2007, and the human embrion cloning happened too already. But was not successful. At least, as it was announced here 3. The process of cloning is very well common in nature. Bacterias, for ex.are all clones as they are genetically identities of each other. Artificial cloning is another process by principle. So its a question of morality as it is an act of human will. So this parr is the most interesting one for me personally as i ask myself can i be a mother of my own clone. Its my own DNA, my own bio material and my own decision to raise me myself as my own child Thanks for an exiting reading the essay of yours, Evgenia

Agree. Thank you for your opinion. Talking about Copernicus, we should also admit the progress in Science in past times was possible with a help of monasteries as they had libraries and were connected so much with universities. In the modern times i can also remember some scientific projects which are sponsored by Church. But still, for me it's not the evidence of anything. To say religious people stop science is equal to say fat people stop science just because some of fat people were against of genetics. It's better not to continue a battle religion versus science, but to develop the cooperation as there are some very talented priests who can support a lot of scientific iniatives we need to discover. Cyborg human rights, producing of advanced people with bio materials etc. All this topics are needed to be analyzed by them cause they have some abilities and knowledge

Hello, my name is Evgenia. It's my real one, the same as a photo at my avatar. My grandfather was an inventor with 14 officially registered patents and he was a head of laboratory in one of the famous tech university in USSR. I was raised up at a very difficult period of time for my country. Since i was 15 am supporting myself. So i chose to work for money. But am very interested in science. Transhumanizm is my passion. I was working as an innovation manager for trade marketing equipment for almost 3 years. If you want to know how to manage to initiate 43 new projects, get only 2 of them successful and still survive, you are vey welcome to ask

Today i learned around 400 people were cryopreservated for now. Not only by Alcor or other companies abroad, but in Russia too we have such a company providing this service. One of the founders of this company is living and working in my own city. So am planning to visit his lecture and meet him. That's an awesome interesting thing to know for me!

The pH Value of Blood and chronic Diseases
Evgenia replied to kayzumfelde's topic in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Hello, guys. Am not sure it's a proof of anything, but i can share my experience. In my family we have some problems with ph level of blood. I am not having yet, as am young, but what i knew from my mom as a lifehack is taking hydrogen pyroxide inside to make my blood less acid but more alcaline. I drink it with water by certain system. And yes, i also read about food considered as alcaline-forming as apples, almond, cabbage etc. -
Dear all, because of current bags of site, which will be without a doubt improved soon with a help of moderators, i can't quote anyone. Sorry me for that. I do not actually ignore you and your questions. Just i am not able to answer for now. So i will try to explain in one message my idea better. A person who truly believe in God can be not religious. Faith and religion can be separated. The example of Panofsky i mentioned to demonstrate that the rules of morality and humanism can be changeable for some people. But when these restrictions disappeared, the religion rules can be an additional way to stop a person in his intentions to create a nuclear weapon. So yes, i believe, its better to have an additional tool to stop a person to press a red button then not to have it. About religion itself- no, i don't think it is a stop on a way of science. People can be. Religion itself not. And about me personally. Do you know if i am a religious one or not ? Am i a cristhian or not? The right answer is no, you don't. Its a science forum i am registered for the 2d day only. I like to read the comments of yours and different opinions as it stimulates my own mind. Thank you for these. You have a great community here. Just don't forget, some people prefer not to be a Justin Biber to be liked by everyone. Sincerely yours,Evgenia

Concerning this topic i remember Ervin Panofsky, famous art critic, a humanist. A scientist who was a friend of Albert Einstein as they were both working for Institute of Advanced Study. I've read his book about perspective. Its a quite interesting one. But what is more interesting and am talking about is his son Wolfgang Panofsky, director of SLAC, nuclear physicist who was participating in bomb creating (for Hirosima and Nagasaki). How come a son of humanist could do it? Did this family loose faith at all? All of them, or Wolfgang only? My point is, it would be much better if we do not let the atheists working in some branches of science. Such as nuclear power, genes and reconstruction or improvement of human race and, especially, age and immortality investigation. But the question is which religion should impact a science the most in this case? With this issue i expect a lot of problems...

The question i am really in is what if all we do is because of our instincts? What if its not rational me who decided to devote my time and profession to innovations but my instinct. Since i was a kid i knew am smart and teachers encouraged me to use it, people said what a clever child so i felt i am good if follow that path and am socially supported. But if i trained my sport career i could probably reach better results. Its just a theoretical point, i understand that. But ask yourself, was it always your ratio which leaded you or may it be some instinct of the same baby who raised up but still is trying to take care of others by being good?

Yes,sure. Babies have functional brain with all these signals to synapses etc. So no problem with breathing or crying. By functional mind i meant they dont know yet the social rules, how to manipulate parents by theirs senses and fears, and love. But still they do it by instinct without knowing all this stuff

Imagination is more important than knowledge
Evgenia replied to Itoero's topic in General Philosophy
Imagination is an aditional tool the humans have. We use it when analyze the reality and try to predict the future by different scenarios. But for that purpose some of us (scientists with a help of great knowledge,i mean) created the computer programmes which can analyze endlessly the scenarios and choose the most optional. In my mind, science versus intuition is not a battle. But being stubborn about not giving a chance to imaginative power is -
There are some researches which prove that little babies know how to make adults smile and use theirs cuteness to make people around take care of them. Babies do not have a functional mind yet trained enough to use this advantage but by instinct they do it. The other thing i remember is fear. Animals feel a danger and react to that. But humans only suffer of fears without a real reason. In my mind, its an instinct also as cant be counted as a reason of rational thought
