Saying grace is a religious practice used by some religious groups. Most human animals do not practice this. Eating with your mouth closed I guess is a social thing which my family do, but if your food is still alive and trying to get away whilst you are trying to eat it what does it matter if you have your mouth open. If you are at a buffet with total strangers and want something from a plate you may ask people to move out of the way to get at what you want to eat, but you arent going to say to a bunch of strangers talking and obstructing your food, excuse me but do you mind passing me a twiglet for example. Animals such as humans and elephants are known to mourn their dead, ie they can be upset due to the loss of pet human or other animal. Many mammals get very upset at the loss of a family member. In time of war many soldiers fight risking their lives to protect comrades, as do many other animals who protect their young risking their own liveswhen another animal is trying to kill them. Dolphins and whales are known to herd their food allowing other members of the family group to swim into the herded food and eat it sometimes with their mouths open. Filter feeders need to eat with their mouths open, but find it easier if the food has been concentrated by other family members first. (Would shoaling be a better word than herding when referencing fish.) Children play with their food and can be very cruel to animals, many humans in the past have been watched with great amusement as animals and other humans kill each other in gladiatorial fights to the death, see for instance the colliseum in Rome, it was a huge arena built for just this purpose. Many animals exhibit the same emotions as other species of animals like humans. Dogs can be taught not to do things you dont like as children can be taught to do what is socially acceptable to the parents or other family members, most people do not make their children say grace except in religious communities. I am not aware of any animals saying grace either. Many animals play with each other which is a way of bonding seen especially in mammals. Humans are mammals also and often play together, just like other animals. Humans who group together under one religious/political/family group idea often use their idea of group to attack another group, killing and maiming but feel it is OK because they have a different religion or political ideology. Animals are generally more civilized and have not been known to murder millions of their species because of religious or political differences for instance, they dont say grace either.

I did and payed privately to see a specialist, who did extensive tests. He told me to increase from 2mg to 4mg perondopril. The tests I had only showed two anomolies apart from my BP being high. Raised LDL cholesterol treatable with statins but was told since I was on a diet, I could expect raised LDL cholesterol as a side effect. The other was raised acid levels in the urine, which the specialist was not concerned about. The raised acid levels may have been due to the amount of oranges, and marmalade compote I was consuming. Compote in yogurt is very nice. I now have had a trawl of the internet and have confirmed that seville oranges used for marmalade are as bad as grapefruit for blocking the effects of ace inhibitors. Better still my BP is now down to 106/82. I might have to reduce my perondopril back to 2mg if the pressure keeps dropping. I thought it might be interesting to know how various chemicals in foods can block or increase the effect of drugs. Reliable information is hard to find, and even if you see a specialist they dont always know never mind a GP.

I have recently being having a problem with my blood pressure, my medication appeared not to be working, the doctors increased the dose but still it was high 150/105 resting pulse 90 typically. I had put this down to increased stress via builder from hell. I use perondopril 4mg + indapomide 1.25mgIs there any correlation between eating oranges and drugs not working I am aware grapefruits stop heart medication working. Last year my wife got into jam making using oranges, figs etc. My neighbour also has orange trees and has also been giving me bags full of oranges to eat. For the last two days I have stopped eating oranges and not eaten any more jams made by my wife. My blood pressure this morning was back down to 130/85 pulse 65. which is normal for me when my medication is working. Is there a list of fruits or other foods that can block heart medication from working. I suspect my wife may have been killing me with kindness literally

Yep humour is always good, it is always better to laugh than cry. A good wake with plenty of alcohol has a mix of both laughter and tears and helps the living along and enhance inner peace. Being too content and trusting what people say is what leads to being taken advantage and hence the loss of inner peace I am currently experiencing. Ps Always judge builders, politicians, lawyers, architects, all manifestations of life, etc by actions not slippery words, and never pay anything in advance unless you are a sucker. Ps never take your wife to speak to the lawyers they (the lawyers) charge by the minute and cost almost as much as being married

Does space exist anywhere without virtual particles? Could an area of space be generated without virtual particles in it, or in some way remove them, I think not. I think I agree. However the volume of space is affected by gravity waves as seen by ligo, these gravity waves alter the dimensions of everything they pass What was intriguing me was if an amount of quantum fluctuations could be reduced or absorbed in someway would it cause a distortion of space like gravity would the volume of space decrease or increase with less or more quantum fluctuations or virtual gravitons. Could quantum fluctuations of one form or another appearing in space away from mass be the cause of dark energy. Could those be virtual gravitons. Edit could just over the event horizon of a black hole be considered a perfect vacuum or does hawking radiation stuff that thought.

I would tend to agree with this but the builder I have is enough to drive anyone insane, for reasons beyond the scope of this thread. When gravity waves pass by LIGO space expands and contracts. How would you define an area of space for a perfect vacuum if the volume changes depending on the amount of gravity that it experiences. Inner Peace IMO is only attainable when you are in a stress free state, which can only be arrived at when you have no wants or desires. Inner peace can not be achieved when you employ the builders from hell or anyone who does not follow your plan, ie to gain inner peace you must avoid at all costs fuckwits and people that cause you stress. These states of stress can be avoided of course by employing reliable people or doing everything your self. However this does not lead to a state of relaxation. Alcohol has been mentioned as a way to inner peace d ness, this in large quantities can induce depression, head aches and unwanted pregnancies following the drinking session. I have found of late taking 1 Diazepam one hour before meeting stressful people (builders from hell) inner peace can be maintained without risking a stroke or heart attack. Drinking does not help blood pressure or inner peace. I will have inner peace again in the future when the builder from hell gets out my house, and I complete the rest of the work myself, or with the help of friends, and a moderate amount of alcohol.

In the zero energy universe theory matter and antimatter are assumed to both have positive energy, which is cancelled by a -ve energy in the form of gravity, giving the total energy of the universe a value of near zero. The whole idea seems to be that some quantum fluctuations became excitations, ie virtual particles became real particles. Private schools are in general paid for mostly by parents/guardians but do gain subsidies from governments, home schooling does not gain government funding as far as I am aware, although guessing if home schoolers comply with government guidelines in some countries they may get some financial help. Some countries do not allow home schooling and it is against the law to keep children out of state school. I am an engineer not a school teacher or an american so will comment no further on this subject. The power of editing is surreal, like my comment.

I understand home schooling globally is typically funded by the parents not by governments. This is a completely separate topic from the OP I think you may have missed my various points, all large gatherings of people are vulnerable to nutters with guns/explosives, if the guns/explosives are available. The solution I have been trying to infer is restricting the availabilty of guns in America in a similar way as to what has been implemented in the rest of the world via a change in the law. I could be wrong, but climate change is going to happen slowly so as normal people do not really realize its happening in their lifetime, the global disasters will be in areas like Bangladesh where the best part of an entire country could find itself under water. Perhaps if American law is going to be changed in the light of political opinion in American politics. Parents might think about sending their kids to school in bullet proof vests and anti stab jackets instead of with pack up lunches bibs and a packet crayons. Self schooling has become popular in some parts of the world and seems effective at producing balanced individuals, perhaps self schooling might be safer in the US. Removing the schools that the NRA think are vulnerable targets to sell weapons to might move the problem from schools to shopping centres, sports grounds, concert arenas or any large collection of people any where in the states. If law does not change to curtail mentally deranged peoples ability to get weapons ie people that want to kill, then the US is stuck in a rut. ER ! The gravitational force causes the stretching of space, gravitational waves cause the stretching of space, why are they not the same thing. A wave can move by expansion and compression or its effects can be felt by absorption like water going down a plug hole. If the gravity force is infinite in range and mediated by the graviton then the virtual graviton must exist everywhere. (unless it does not exist at all, everywhere) Would it be easier to state all forces are carried by virtual particles/waves which exist in space alongside all manner of other quantum fluctuations which may or may not exist in multiple dimensions. These virtual particles are absorbed by either mass magnets fundamental particles etc and cause all fundamental forces. Do you have an opinion on the Higgs field and how it interacts if at all with string theory, the pop science links seem a trifle conflicting, ie not helpful.
