If something has absolutely not one shred of evidence, I think it's safe to call it pseudo-science. But I'll play along. Let's say there was a black hole and a white hole. What would the gravitional effects be? So I'd say that a black hole could not collide with a white hole regardless of size unless there were some other force involved. If we had two white holes or two black holes, then I guess they could collide and form one huge black/white hole.

joe, do you drink a lot of pop (soda) ? you're probably constantly dehydrated and don't even realize it because the carbonation fills you up before you can drink enough liquid.

Thanks a lot latentheat. What kind of solvent should I use? Also, what concentrations and amounts of NaOH and acid should I use? How hot should I heat the solution? When the salicylic acid precipitates, what will it look like? Sorry for all the questions. I just like to be precise and exact.

I have read a few threads where people say that making acetyl salicylic acid is easy enough to do in the first week of an o-chem lab. I have little experience in organic and I was wondering how hard it is to get salicylic acid from aspirin. Any help and/or suggestions for other easy o-chem experiments is appreciated! -Justin

They do run quite a long time. Not forever. But there is something funny going on with the table in this picture. Look at the top edge of the table between the wheel device and the lamp.

I believe alcohol and coffee will both increase your need to urinate- (they are called diuretics, if i remember correctly) so I don't think it really makes a difference. Keep in mind that many alcoholic drinks are caffeinated as well. (Coke and rum, vodka red bull) Although a little can be calming, too much caffiene will actually make you more nervous, especially on an empty stomach. In my opinion tea is best, vivarin is the worst. Coffee and cola are somewhere inbetween.
