What is the deepest mystery of physics and why is it so?
ag400002 replied to PrimalMinister's topic in General Philosophy
Perhaps the deepest mystery in physics is 'what is time' Perhaps the reason it is so, is that mainstream physics can never unravel it, because its culture and internal discipline too readily turns its back on philosophy, where the answer is, resulting in too many of the finest and most able intellects in our universe drowning and floundering in a quagmire of mathematics -
Perhaps 'the measuring' is within the temporal embrace of a moment of absolute time as spacetime splits and so 'the measurement' would be within the temporal grasp of an instant in relative time, to be effected as a point in space, when spacetime splits Perhaps the variance of absolute time is in accord with the acceleration of light speed Perhaps the invariance of relative time is in accord with the constancy of light speed

Perhaps your arrow of time passes from your past to your future as the universal arrow of time passes from its future to its past and so your future coordinates with the universal past as your universal present and so your instant in that time which is in accord with invariant light speed, coordinates orthogonally with the universal moment of that time which is in accord with variant light speed, as absolute time straddles and ages the universe Perhaps invariant light speed conceals variant time and variant light speed reveals invariant time Perhaps a clumsy classical interpretation of the 'double split' would be that the undetected photon effectively hits the screen at that position within invariant time as a temporal reality and that the detected photon effectively hits the screen at that position within variant time as a spacial reality

Perhaps the quantum of absolute time is that moment of time which is 'now', (which perhaps is the correct interpretation of the ageing process) and perhaps the quantum of absolute space is an instant in time Perhaps as your 'arrow of time' coordinates at 'now', or the present, or reality, with the universal 'arrow of time', a moment of time coordinates with an instant in time Perhaps there are two realities, temporal and spatial, locked together at an instant in time, that can only be effected separately within a moment of time Perhaps a clumsy classical interpretation of the 'double split' would be that the undetected photon effectively hits the screen as a temporal reality and that the detected photon effectively hits the screen as a spatial reality

Perhaps as you pass through and change position in relative time, you coordinate with absolute time when absolute time passes through you.

The nature of time ( question).
ag400002 replied to Elendirs's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
Perhaps, as the photon passes through relative time, absolute time passes through the same photon. Perhaps absolute time is the carrier of cause. Perhaps the coordinate of absolute and relative time is effect -
Perhaps reality is the position of the photon when the universe splits and so virtuality would be the position of the same photon as the universe splits Perhaps the splitting of the universe, when the universe splits and as the universe splits need to be further considered within a temporal context Perhaps the splitting of the universe can be considered as the splitting of spacetime into absolute space and absolute time Perhaps as the universe splits space can be considered within the temporal condition of 'a moment in time' which has duration and so the position of the photon is virtual and the photon is a wave Perhaps when the universe splits time can be considered within the spatial condition of 'an instant of time' which has no duration and so the position of the same photon is real and the photon is a particle Perhaps when and as cohere to give now, which is the present or that reality in accordance with the relative temporal consistency of their relationship as well as the fundementals of this reality, which include wave-particle duality

Perhaps space can be considered as the distance between positional reality and time could be considered as the distance between positional virtuality
-
Perhaps within a moment in time the same photon occupies both a temporal and spacial position which nature attempts to unify and so an attractive force is manifested to create spacetime as the universe splits at light speed into absolute space and absolute time

Why is the speed of light constant ? Perhaps our universal light speed is constant because our universe constantly splits at that specific universal light speed
-
Perhaps space can be considered as the distance between three dimensional objective positions when the universe splits Perhaps time can be considered as the distance between two dimensional virtual positions as the universe splits

Is there a general or public definition or public understanding of objectivity or subjectivity or is it just always a unique personal intuititive concept Very generally I consider objectivity as being in the realm of philosophy and subjectivity as being in the realm of mathematics, both to intermingle as physics But this is personal and wouldn't do for everyone

Perhaps the physics of an infinite state are embraced by the temporal dimension of a never ending expanding universe and multiverse and so the physics of a finite state would be embraced within the temporal dimension of any positionally bounded space. Outside of the physics of spacetime, perhaps, very generally, the future would be infinite and the past would be finite and the present would be the transitional point
