I think environment has a great influence on how they evolved.

I agree with the idea that fishermen can help in terms of cleaning plastics from sea water, but how about the diminishing numbers of fish? i think certain places has a regulations on catching fishes on a given season to help them to reproduce and maintain the balance on the ecosystem for future consumption.
