Yes, you added that 'often' portrays. Here is the question asked. Hello everyone, I'd like some help on how to debunk a numerology on the Bible. And what is that definition .. just so we can be clear. You didn't frighten me .. but I have to go, library is closing.
-
Perhaps you need to read posts people read. But you don't need to do that, do you. I first refute the 'often' in your 'often portrays.' You added that? I shall check.
-
A bad omen too. Which accounts, perhaps, for your fear of the unknown? I recognized the stunting effects of self-induced fear years ago, and stopped watching those kinds of movies. Why your name? Why not your social insurance number?

BeeCee. I haven't studied numerology before this topic, nor heard of David Meade. If he's a false prophet that will become clear. If numerology can be prophetic THAT will become clear also to those who study long enough with the right intention. I have no opinion that way. However .. like everything to do with any religion or scientific theory there will be those who attempt to destroy the religion and the theory. YOU say that is science, if applied to science. You might not say it is bigotry if applied to religion. What some people profess to be numerology or gematria, including yourself, you believe because you haven't looked into it what it is apart from spooky headlines. THAT is not a scientific mind, BeeCee. NOW you have some insight that may help you dispel your first and false opinion. It is NOT magic. It is NOT superstition. It is in the least LANGUAGE pure and simple, and if it is more than that is known only to a very, very few, and I don't know any of them.

Further, the OP is not strictly about Christian anything. I'd like some help on how to debunk a numerology on the Bible. ..... ..... Genesis 1.1 and John 1.1 are mathematically linked as well as theologically .... ...." It is about the bible, old and new testaments, from the beginning. It becomes clear through discovery that the author of the post does not understand the basics of numerology or the gematria (to which he/she refers.) He/she assumes it to be magic .. when it is language pure and simple.
-
BeeCee .. Numerology is numerology .. you ignore specific clear english definition to stick to your opinion that "numerology" as you understand it is magic. We've clearly shown you that it's not magic, that it is very practical, a system of communication as enhancing to the mind as is learning two languages, that being VERY clearly proven by science to advance intellect. If you cannot accept simple english definitions of words, HOW are you going to accept mathematical (there are those numbers again) equations. Einstein saw nothing wrong with the value of numbers, why should you?

From your own post: "2] It is also the study of the numerical value of the letters in words, names, and ideas." Diminishing the appearance of the font does not diminish the fact. Mystical: "It may also refer to the attainment of insight in ultimate or hidden truths." Quantum Physics can be seen to be mystical .. not magical, not paranormal, but certainly mystical according to the definition. Synonyms for Mystical include "hidden, mysterious, obscure." Certainly quantum physics meets those requirements.

Are you saying that the number value of Hebrew letters of alphabet is myth and coincidence? https://www.hebrew4christians.com/Grammar/Unit_One/Numeric_Values/numeric_values.html This page shows very clearly the Hebrew alphabet and corresponding number values.

As the bible is quoted here, and the post has remained, seemingly unchallenged because of source, I shall use that same source to say what the bible says of war and violence: New Heart English Bible"In her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on the earth." Revelation 18:24 In reading the preceding verses we see that the 'her' spoken of was the beast Babylon .. 'the great men .. the merchants of the earth" their merchandise being 'gold and oil and cinnamon and spices and etc etc." Merchandise. It is obvious that all wars since the Hebrew invasion of the Promised Land in the bible have been to acquire wealth, those wars justified in many ways .. by race, false religion, need for defence of homelands, to steal water instead of buying it, from Hitler to Trump saying 'we are being attacked. Morality? Justification for acquisition of wealth by mass murder .. leading to the present world stage upon which nuclear WW3 is to be played out. MAD MAD MAD and Filthily greedy nations .. all having superabundance of all things yet insatiable in their hunger and thirst for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and blood.

Interesting how these searches for discovery unveil interesting things, like how the ancient Persian language seems to be the source of modern golf tees. http://www.ancientscripts.com/oldpersian.html As in golf, numbers were important, and it is said the each Persian letter also had a number value, similar to Hebrew. The Jews of course entered Persia as prisoners, but a King of Persia chose three Jewish men as his chief rulers. Was it the Jews who brought their numerical value for alphabet letters to the Persian language? And what influence does this have on numerology? Let us not fore sake this search! https://www.lds.org/study/manual/old-testament-student-manual-kings-malachi/enrichment-j?lang=eng Okay, if you don't like the word numerology, how about the Jewish Gematria? Or, why we say "Hi" to each other. The most common and well known example of Gematria is the Hebrew word Chai (“living”, Hebrew Hai) which is both a symbol and word meaning “life”. In English the word Chai is pronounced ‘hi’, as though one were offering a friendly salutation. The word Chai consists of the Hebrew letters Chet (het n) and Yod. Applying a set system of Jewish Gematria (“Ragil” the basic method or “Mispar gadol” the Great Number method) to the Hebrew letters Chet ( which is given a value of 8) and Yud (which is given a value of 10) results in the calculated value of 18 or 10 + 8. As a result of this Gematria find, the number eighteen is oft viewed as a positive sign or OT of “good luck”. In Judaism, the number 18 has come to represent the ‘good of things to come’, or “ life and good fortune‘. For this reason Jews oft wear charms or emblems which depict this popular symbol.

Yes of course the alphabet and language in Hebrew though are basically the same preserved through thousands of years because of their esteem and necessity for their Torah and Prophets. There is no other language that I know of that carries that significance. The Aramaic is the form of Hebrew which came out of the Babylonian captivity .. which is why the later books of the Old Testament were written in it (or are said to have been written in it.) Aramaic was in wide use in the middle east. "Aramaic is a language or group of languages belonging to the Semitic subfamily of the Afroasiatic language family. More specifically, it is part of the Northwest Semitic group, which also includes the Canaanite languages such as Hebrew and Phoenician." From Wiki. If you can see similarities between Egyptian hieroglyphics and the Hebrew or Aramitic please point them out. https://www.google.com/search?q=source+of+ancient+egyptian+alphabet&rlz=1C1CHBF_enCA807CA807&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=h6CQV4KBmdQNoM%3A%2CEm5cFpMPY36_CM%2C_&usg=AI4_-kROVjc1NFT3LmOYtCG9ArxmO_ucJQ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj2lpSMxL7gAhXr6YMKHQwRAwQQ9QEwD3oECAAQCg#imgrc=6JKBLmMTB24MwM: Image of the Phoenician language: https://www.ancient.eu/image/5215/phoenician-oblelisk-from-cyprus/ ... nothing whatever similar to Hieroglyphics by any imagination. And vastly different from Hebrew.

We are talking of 'the west' where infant survival has been very high in the past century, and only until the last couple of decades has fertility and birthrates decreased to a point where economists are worried. Families of 5 to 13 relatively healthy children were common in western culture as late as 50 year ago, with some of those families intact today (except for parents of course.) Western culture families of one or two are the norm today, beginning a generation ago. Larger families from non-western culture are the reason immigration has been heavily promoted in the west. Interestingly .. U.S. infant mortality is very high compared to many other western nations. https://www.google.com/search?q=infant+mortality+rates+in+u.s.&rlz=1C1CHBF_enCA807CA807&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=PRq4lALhOJq-9M%3A%2C98any87m3QFC6M%2C_&usg=AI4_-kTRdggLq-iFV_onxtiFgOym7vwk2w&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiU1O-owL7gAhUijoMKHbkkDxoQ9QEwAHoECAUQBg#imgrc=HNVkXxsWKlBIzM:

Very interesting: " ... Alef is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and Tav is the last. The Hebrew alphabet is often called the "alef-bet," because of its first two letters." (Wonderfully similar to 'alphabet' is it not?) From https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/the-hebrew-alphabet-aleph-bet

Then the only qualified answers are found with military sources and medical schools .. so why ask the question here? The OP should have asked those sources and presented the findings here. That the question was not written, 'To join the military or be a doctor how high of IQ do those professions say you need to enter.' As it is written the original question is open, subject to interpretation. Submariners are exposed to incredibly high risks both from enemy action and failure of systems. If a tank system fails the tankers can exit the tank. If a submarine system fails while the sub is underwater the crew can easily be doomed. Many medics are killed in combat. It is probable that submarines with their nuclear missiles will be a first target even before declaration of war .. it is presumed that the Russians, for instance, with their far superior military technology, have small subs following the entire U.S. nuclear submarine fleet, and with 600 mph torpedoes a U.S. sub can be destroyed before they can release their ICBMs. The Russians have also said they have missiles that can enter the water and destroy submarines deep underwater. In any case, when WW3 hits, it hits everyone, no one is safe anywhere .. it's a MAD MAD MAD MAD world.

You've lost me. However .. western fertility rates in decline is the topic anyway. I think we all know our general population is hugely stressed in our present day. "Stress can interfere with conception. ... That's because stress can affect the functioning of the hypothalamus – the gland in the brain that regulates your appetite and emotions, as well as the hormones that tell your ovaries to release eggs. If you're stressed out, you may ovulate later in your cycle or not at all." "Stress degrades sperm quality, study shows. ... It may trigger the release of steroid hormones called glucocorticoids, which in turn could blunt levels of testosterone and sperm production. Another possibility is oxidative stress, which has been shown to affect semen quality and fertility." As well, of course, stress will reduce the desire for having children, a conscious decision will be made NOT to have children because of financial stress, for instance. And: Air pollution affects fertility in men and women. https://www.popsci.com/air-pollution-fertility-pregnancy .. as well, undoubtedly, on survival rates of fetuses.
