  1. The bible says bats are birds, they aren't.
  2. You screwed up your experiment, if you could only lift 8 kg with your calves you wouldn't be able to walk. I can easily calf press 120 kg.
  3. A point in space implies that it is a 3rd inertial frame. So I would say both the observers would see there own clock ticking at a normal rate and they would both agree that a clock in the 3rd frame ticked slower. However, the observers would not agree on how much more slowly the 3rd clock was ticking.
  4. I think you need to look up the definition of slavery.
  5. If reincarnation is real, then it is obvious that we have no memory of our previous life. Therefore 'we' wouldn't get to see how things turn out, the reincarnated person would see it and not us, since they would be no memory of their pre-reincarnated life.
  6. Could you present the evidence of these associations and/or causes?
  7. I have always found your posts insightful (when they weren't completely over my head). You always came across as a kind and respectful person. I hope your spiritual journey brings you fulfillment.
  8. No, a request for more information does not mean I think people can regrow limbs. The article has nothing to do with salamanders so how did that help you guess a level in salamander blood? I have no idea what that means of how it relates to the discussion. It seems clear that simply increasing progesterone levels will not enable an animal to regenerate limbs.
  9. Let me know the results you get.
  10. Parenting is hard. The secret is, if you love your children and they know it then 90% of your job is done, IMO.
  11. For an observer an hour will always be an hour in his own inertial frame, but the observer may incorrectly perceive the time as faster or slower than normal. An hour in the doctors waiting room may seem longer than an hour talking to someone you find attractive and desirable.
  12. I think this is a stupid idea which, I guess, means it's likely that it is a stupid idea. On the other hand, I can imagine lightning is actually Zeus throwing lightning bolts from the clouds, which seems unlikely to me. "I think, therefore I yam what I yam"... - Popeye.
  13. Too bad you went on to say that CBC can be a substitute for vaccines. I think putting this in speculations is generous, it should be in the trash can, IMO.
  14. Pregnant women have high levels of progesterone in their blood and they do not regenerate new limbs after an amputation. Your hypothesis has been falsified, I guess it is back to the drawing board...
  15. Interesting, what were these discoveries?
  16. Your suspicion is wrong. A Star Wars reference?
  17. That's useless, it explains nothing. How could you use a scale to measure this alternative weight?
  18. I don't believe you.
  19. I am not aware of this, could you supply a citation? No that is evidence that an ancient ocean basin was uplifted due to plate tectonics.
  20. Since 2 observers in different inertial frames won't agree on the rate that time passes, I don't think time can be called linear. I think sequential is a better term since observers will agree in the order that related events occur
  21. As an athiest, I have to say I don't believe that. Ironical, ain't it?
  22. What do you mean by a sector? The area of a quadrant of the unit circle is Pi/4 and the area of the unit circle is Pi. What are these 2 sectors and why the relationship between the 2?
  23. It sounds like you are confusing yourself on this point. Look at it like gravity is trying to accelerate you towards the center of the earth but the earths surface is holding you back. IOW your weight is the force you are exerting on the surface of the earth which is your mass times the acceleration due to gravity (9.8 m/s^2). Hope that helps.
  24. So the area in question is 1/2 of the circle? So that would mean that Pi/4 is the total area 'a'. Since Pi r^2 = area of a circle, Pi r^2 = Pi/4 or r = 0.5. Is that correct? Or are these areas small circles in the larger circle?
  25. If two people are in the same reference frame, the only way they can develop relative motion is for at least one of the people to accelerate. I am trying to answer in a way that does not get into semantics and have the answer to a simple question become confusing.
