I don't recommend anything, that's why I posted on this forum, because people like CharonY and Hypervalient are here who are knowledgeable about these things. I was wondering if there was another way to determine who plays what based on something other than just male or female. Maybe based on muscle mass or testosterone, or something else. Is the future of sport mixed? will it stay the same?, will it change? I don't know, just something I thought was interesting. Maybe I should of changed the title to "the future of sport' instead.

Try reading the 100m sprint times that were posted. I never made an assertion and never said it was relevant. If it was wrong, then fine, I'm happy to be educated. But what I'm not fine with, is being accused of being misogynistic. the point of his thread was/is about the future of sport regarding transgenders. My concerns about the safety or fairness isn't my way of saying including them is wrong, i just think sport will need to change in the near future and was interested in how or what that might be. If you can only interpret my questions or my (admittedly) shitty knowledge on the subject as having an hidden agenda then that's too bad. I was hoping to learn something interesting*, not defend myself against unfair accusations. peace. edit: * which I have.

Where have i made anti trans statements? You need to stop pulling assumptions out your ass, they stink. Yes it does. My link doesn't support your accusations and assumptions. as for the down votes...yawn, you sad bastard.

Sure. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender_people_in_sports#Trans_men at the bottom. Now who's extracting assertions from their colon. I have made no assertions, just given opinions. You need to get of your high horse and stop assuming people who are interested in this have an anti trans agenda.

She does have a point though (the men's running events, not the other stuff). For alot of sportsmen/women, sport is a way out of poverty. What if you're born female and you're considered a world class athlete, in some sports if you moved over to the men's events you're career would be over, you wouldn't even qualify. That's not a situation that would encourage people to be themselves. I could be wrong, but their seems to be a lot more male to female athletes entering sports than female to male athletes. It's something I think needs to be addressed at some point. I don't think sport needs a major overhaul, just a few tweaks here and there.

Very well put, thank you.

IIRC there have been women in men's NASCAR, golf too. Probably more. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_female_NASCAR_drivers quite a few actually.

Who said I didn't believe them. I was under the impression there are physical differences between men and women. If their aren't, can you explain why we have male and female sports instead of just sport?
-
Because this is a recent thing, so there aren't any I can think of. Once again, this is the question I'm interested in. The future of sport, how will it change to accommodate everyone fairly. If it doesn't need to be, then fine. I'm interested in being educated on the subject not making a statement.
-
No. That's just poor phrasing by me. Apologies for confusion, my fault. Just a genuine interest in the future of sport regarding transgender people. How do we make it fair for everyone. I'm using Mike Tyson because everybody knows who he is, and I'll admit it's an extreme example. 'is someone in danger' not now, but the point is they could be. hence the question "is it possible to have another way to decide who plays in what sport" Just to reiterate, I'm interested in the future of sport and how it will or will not change regarding transgender people. Not whether they should be allowed to play.
-
Exactly. Concerned, not against.
-
No offence, but I was hoping CharonY might answer. I'm genuinely interested If sports will have to change regarding transgender people. Is mixed sports a possibility. Could transgender people be able to play in either sport? Edit: CharonY just replied 🙂

A monster under the bed! So you don't think someone like him could become transgender and we should ignore it because it will probably never happen? Men are physically stronger than women, at some point it will be a problem. This is my question, what I'm interested in discussing. Not the right and wrongs of transgender's in sport.
-
Of course I don't. It's an extreme example. But if someone like Mike Tyson in his prime were to change sex and enter women's boxing he would probably kill them. Not just boxing, rugbys another one. Would you be comfortable with an in prime Iron mike in women's boxing?
-
how do we intergrate them? I support transgender rights, but there are serious issues with former men entering women's sports. Mike Tyson would be an example. Would it be possible to have another way to determine who plays what sport? So instead of male and female, base it on muscle ratio or testosterone levels? Do we need to do anything at all?
-
Do you think it will happen? Is Biden weak, do you think the Democrats need to be more aggressive? Been inspired by this: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/other/joe-biden-says-his-hands-are-tied-on-a-2415-minimum-wage-thats-not-true/ar-BB1e6X8x?ocid=BingNews

Photos? You won't find the help you need on this site I'm afraid. Good luck with the future buddy.

Not everyone says 'gay' as an insult to gay people. I say 'mate' a lot, as in 'alright mate', I don't think we're mates its just a habit I've picked up. I'm not defending it, but there's a difference between saying , "man, that's gay" and outright calling someone a faggot. I understand why someone would be offended by both of them, but context is important here. I support gay marriage, but don't automatically assume people who don't are homophobic.

But what about people who aren't from China but have had contact with someone who is? You can't quarantine everyone, far too many people. You'd do more damage than good. -

Just to clarify, I was referring to Scottish independence not disagreements over Covid. I'm on your side in this discussion. My fault. -
