  1. Not sure how far back "plausible" is, but found this interesting. I was sitting in the library reading an old Popular Mechanics and the Denisovan's were brought to my attention. [/img] They look like Hobbits or Gelflings. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denisovan
  2. I would assert that a giraffe and cow. Being sufficiently motivated, could physically get it on.
  3. Elaborate if we are going by Taxonomic rank or not(had to remind my self lol)? [/img]
  4. I was going with the giraffe and cow quote from the OP. Seam's like giraffes and cows aren't so much different then horses and donkeys? I'm no expert in the field. Just thought that was interesting.
  5. I didn't know hinny's were a thing. I learned something.
  6. Loop through all 4,000 pages of members in the search and scrape their content with Selenium or some such lol? Might want to set a delay though could cause issues with site reliability.

  8. Zed Shaws book." Learn Python the Hard Way". Was very helpful to me. I think that writing some sort of text adventure is an excellent way to learn the basics of most any language. That's why I liked that book so much because it taught Python concepts through making the game
  9. Learned everything i know about Pie on youtube.
  10. Hey, every one. I decided to upgrade my Home Office Work Station / Computer Lab for 2020. It was definitely time for an upgrade for productivity and down right sanity running some of these newer O.S.’s as bloated as they are. The use cases would be as a DAW(Digital Audio Work Station),DVW(Digital Video Work Station), crypto trading box., along with image editing, etc.. I decided to go with an HP z800 Work Station box for my upgrade path. I know this a 9 year old system but I think it can still hang today in 2020 for what I need done. For under $500. This thing is less then half the price of a HP z840 work station and should be perfectly capable for what I need done for now. BUILD SPECS: HP z800 6-Core 3.33GHz Intel Xeon “Westmere” X5680 [6-cores / 12-threads] x2 48 GB DDR 3 Ram 1TB mech HD Old ass AMD Firepro These things are built like a tank and mine still had all the shrouding inside. I have a few older 120gb SSD’s I have to dig up that I will most likely use for the boot drive and use the 1 TB mechanical drive for storage. For now though I just installed Windows 10 and Ubuntu Studio in a dual boot configuration with GRUB on the mechanical HD to get this thing up and running. Want to add a more modern GPU but I found a cheap 6gb one for now. Really liking it so far. Can have like 150 tabs open in mozilla with Ubuntu Studio lol I think with a modern video card and GPU accelerator. Along with a decent ssd and nvme card. this things still a viable computer workhorse for the price in 2020. I'll report back when I know more. Original posting is below with more detailed build list
  11. This is fun. please don't ban me. Just got my cheapo USB microscope to document my EIS / Colloidal silver exp's. Want to see the "vaporization" in the liquid reagent. I put 50 volts at 5 amps and it gets cloudy quick. I would like to make a documentation thread if i'm not attacked lol.
  12. Good points, cause Google could shuffle results around? Yeah, I concur Top Level Domain(TLD) Linking is best . Yet, they could shuffle those around but that's beyond the scope of this thread At this time I think?
  13. My bad. I meant I imputed the keys, "natural substance" and "organic compound" in Googles hashtable and the top values returned were in the previous post(think that's right(?):)).
  14. That's why I put that in quotes I didn't know. From Google.
  15. Thanks for all the reads guys. If i may though. I never advocated for the internal intake of colloidal silver. My intentions in making it were as a "natural organic" antimicrobial agent for topical applications. That's secondary though. I have a thing for the old American made stuff(or Japan/German). Every things bigger inside in case you have to fix anything. Most importantly though I cant afford any new Agilent/ Keysite stuff lol. Not sure if I want to pull the trigger on one of these things( OoOo Buttons).
  16. Its a HP 1652B logic analyzer. I'm making my own 8 bit computer to learn memory addressing and what not. I should have introed with that instead of this hot button issue lol.
  17. Appreciate the replies. Yeah, I was being facetious with the corona thing. Regarding the Colloidal Silver (should i be calling it Electrically Isolated Silver, EIS ?) I just started experimentation with that. Unfortunately I can only offer anecdotal evidence from my own personal experience. I've been using a 37 ppm solution( made 30v @ .5a )as a mouth rinse and toothpaste adjunct. So far my gums seem to feel better and cavities don't really hurt as much. My goal is to get the "nano particles." I would definitely be careful with full on internal applications of CS / EIS as well. I know this is less then scientific. So i do have several house mice that have volunteered to be test subjects. Not sure about the ethical implications of that? Or how i would even document something like that? So I may just let them go in the back yard.
  18. Hey everybody, I've been setting up my various labs lately and thought I should check in here. I really have no clue what I'm doing but eventually my goal is to figure some of this stuff out. Here's a pic of my electronics lab setup so far. I'm going with a HP theme for the most part as it will go with my server room. It's currently been commandeered to fight the corona with colloidal silver production. I would like to upgrade the lab with a HP-IB card in my vintage HP vectra P-233 but I'm still researching that. Anyway nice place here, looking forward to contributing. Stay safe and healthy.
