  1. I have seen a lot of movies that when someone gets shot, he will then be sent to hospital to have the bullet removed, what if the bullet isn't removed but it is not hurting any critical organs? What would he end up in theory?
  2. If there is a wound which is contamined with a small amount of foreign objects e.g. cotton, tissue paper or metal shrad, etc, will our body remove it on its own if not treated. What is the steps or mechanism of such process?
  3. From Google search, a number of results suggest that carboard is a good heat insulator.
  4. or is there any actual RFID blocking material built into some kinds of leather wallet so that it blocks RFID more effectively?
  5. If something is stored inside sealed or closed paper cardboard and the cardboard is put under strong sunlight, is it usually good enough to keep the stored item cool?
  6. How is stainless steel product normally polished? On Google, I find that there are a lot of different answers. What is the most common way for the industry to polish stainless steel product? Is there any special machine for getting the job done? Normally what are the price ranges for those machines?
  7. I got some plastic containers or other products put near windows. They cracked or broke into pieces a little bit or faded in color. Weren't they damage?
  8. Plastic is obviously not organic, I don't know if they are inorganic. Sunlight breaks them in a couple of months.
  9. I found a handbag, made of faux leather, together with a plastic zipper bag inside, put somewhere dark and left behind for at least 4 years. They are still perfect. My home is shined with strong sunlight and my personal experience is that in a few months of exposure to sunlight, almost everything starts to go wrong, not to mention faux leather and plastic zipper bags. But they are perfect now. I start to wonder if sunlight is the primary cause of damaging most things, if not everything? if there is any damage to something put in dark for 100 years, when other conditions are normal, not particularly better or worse? Expecting any comment.
  10. What if not? This is why I started the thread.
  11. So, even if someone only focuses on cost and makes something poorly, a cheap bluetooth device shouldn't emit exccessive radiation than a decent one, is that right?
  12. For a long time, it's said bluetooth could cause cancer which is something I don't believe because if that's the case, it should have risen concern by the general public. However, I hope this is not a stupid question. What if a bluetooth device is made very poorly for sake of reducing the cost, or if it is made by an unqualified someone or factory, would it increase the any health risk to the end user? Or that said, is level or amount of radiation emitted relate to the how well the bluetooth is made?
  13. Hi, ok, well, I have one more conceptual question. For example, when I am pushing a toy truck such that it is accelerating, I know that net force on the truck isn't zero, but at this time, is the force my hand gives to the truck equal to the reaction force that the truck gives back to my hand?
  14. So, does reaction force only exist for the moment they touch each other?
  15. We know that if something is fixed to the ground and we give force to it, then it will give reaction force in equal amount. How about if "something" isn't fixed, e.g. a toy truck? When we push it for an instant, does the toy truck at the same time give reaction force back to the us? Does it only give reaction back for the time they touch each other? Is my concept correct?
  16. I have a job offer that requires working overnight and there is no shift, so practically I can only sleep in the daytime. I have been hearing a lot of opinions that working overnight is really bad for health in the long run. In fact, is there any scientific evidence or study which suggests that it is possible? Or is it solely an unproven belief?
  17. Is plastic e.g. polyproylene, polystyrene etc mostly inert to most substances at room temperature? I only know that plastic does not like heat.
  18. under the condition that they are not allowed to talk so that you don't know their accent. Is it possible to make a promising guess through their biological appearance i.e. not their dressing style and what would that be?
  19. What's usually the major difference? Could cheap wine be made through less expensive processes or costs so that the wine is less beneficial or even more damaging to health? I understand that wine isn't generally considered to be good for health after all.
  20. I really wonder if there is any street camera in those African countries to look at the people around.
  21. It's easy to name a few powerful countries on the earth from the Google search that they have the most cameras in their countries. However, I can hardly find out any information about which country in the world has the least survelliance by all means, e.g. cameras in the street, surveillance on the internet activities.
  22. because they should also experience enough dry air and nose pickling.
  23. Only the specialist gave me a simple treatment and asked about my medical history and family history but I wasn't given any comment on whether it is common for an adult. Asking many non-doctors will certainly help, since none of them said that they had nosebleeds, it suggests to me that dry air and nose pickling shouldn't be the cause of nosebleeds.
