    Doh !

Hahah, some of those are pretty bad. I dont have one to match it, but I saw something a few years ago that was fairly stupid - had to do with what this guy said. We were at a buffet - Sweet Tomatoes - and I was at the bakery area, with all the muffins, brownies, cookies, etc. Anyways, there's this kid and his dad standing next to me and the kid says to his dad "is this cornbread?" - and the dad replies "no, those are corn muffins" lol- big difference!
  2. Yes, but when you're writing a research paper they sure do help! lol. In anycase, there are plenty of non-scientists here, just science-enthusiasts I guess you could say... like myself
  3. well done. is he temp banned, or still here? perhaps he will leave on his own accord?
  4. you'd be surprised at the number of people that do that. usually they'll do it for attention, or to trick people. anyways, the type of forum also depends on the number of males to females. for example: Im on a car forum, there are probably 5-7 girls who post fairly often, compared to the 50+ men. On The Sims forum (that I used to belong to) the women outnumbered the men by considerable margin (maybe 60/40 is my estimate). and then of course, on a gaming forum, there might be 1-2 females, and the rest males.
  5. the good thing is you can get cool lenses, like a fisheye one - and let me tell you, that one is cool! anyways, good luck

  8. as others have said, its definitely normal when i first started working out, i would be sore anywhere from 1-3 days (or even 4 if it was a "hard" work out) afterwards. now that I work out on a weekly basis, recovery time is much faster.
  9. yup, Rebel is good. Canon and Kodak is a good choice. I've heard Cannon is preferred, but either one should be good. just remember: lenses are expensive.
  10. yup, thats it! thank you very much. I couldnt remember who did it, or what it was called, lol.
  11. I cant remember this study, and Im going to use it in my research paper. study was done: people walked over a stable bridge or a rickety bridge, and on the other side was an attractive person of the opposite sex. The person on the other side of the bridge gave the participant their info, and said to call if they needed anything. the people who walked over the rickety bridge, called far more than the people who didnt, and this is the idea that they falsely attributed their excitement to the attractive person, and not the bridge. anyone know who did this and what it was called? it would help immensely thanks
  12. ah ok, thanks ok, another microwave question. how come balls of plasma shoot out when you put a lit candle in the microwave?
  13. From what I've learned, and what all my Psych teachers have said "some of his theories are bad, but some others hold some truth." and other variants. basically, only some of this theories can still be applied today
  14. Well, I dont know how many of you have seen this site: http://www.u-starvin.com/micromaniac/ They microwave alot of stuff - I understand it all, except the christmas lights. how do they light up?

    People Power?

which is why it'd probably only power petty things like lights and signs and the like.
  18. yes, it is the polycarbonate that stops the bullet. so the glass, on the side where it got shot, will break, but the opposite side wont. and, to answer the other part, it does work 2 ways, however, there is a 1 sided glass (alloowing people to shoot through, but not be shot at).
