just a little thought for increasing the efficiency of these balloons, find a plastic that isn't IR transparent. it will keep the heat inside more raising both the maximum altitude and time it can maintain altitude. also, what is the typical payload capacity of these balloons? finally, a little critisism of the facts page, if they only rise a few thousand feet then they aren't anywhere near the jetstream. jet streams are 10-15 km above the surface of earth. the term 'superheat'. is this commonly used terminology in hot air ballooning circles? because superheat has a definition in science that doesn't really apply here.

A 2560x1600 frame in 32 bit colour is 16.384MB. are you seriously telling me that a modern graphics card does not have 16.384MB of RAM? here is the calculation to back me up here. 2560x1600 = 4096000 pixels *32 bit per pixel = 131072000 bits /8 = 16384000byte / 1000000 byte/MB = 16.384MB although RAM is one of those things that still uses a binary mega byte. so i suppose it should really be 15.625 MiB

this isn't entirely accurate, on exposure to moisture it will decomposed to sodium carbonate which will also fizz in vinegar. and its not really a stable chemical moisture and moderate heat decompose it.
