well it is doubtful that the droplet will be held together by gravity when it is that small, so neutrons will be flying off and get quite some distance before they decay. enough to for a significant chunk of radiation anyway.
-
yep radiation. neutons, mesons, protons, free electrons(beta particles) all moving at huge speeds. actually, considering this is think the radius i posted is a little low. a kilometer at least, 10 at most.
-
not quite. look up blackbody radiation and its causes. you are talking about photon emission from excited electrons, that is NOT what is happening hear. and i never said photons were heat, i just said they transmitted it. stand outside on a sunny day and you'll see evidence of that(the side of you facing the sun will get warmer)

a droplet size cluster of neutrons would decay pretty rapidly, it would probably be enough to wipe out all living things within a 400-600 m radius. buildings and such wouldn't much care though they would likely be radioactive for some time afterwards. in essence, it would be the perfect neutron bomb. it certainly wouldn't destroy the earth though.

the proper equation would be 2HCl + Zn ---> ZnCl2 +H2 doing it in a well ventilated area (outside) is prefferable to the t-shirt method.
-
where does antigravity come into it? antimatter does not use antigravity btw, it behaves the same as normal matter in that respect.
-
1/ yes blackholes could orbit closely as long as neither singularity lies within the event horizon of the other. 2/ presumably using similar technology that allows the blackholes to be contained in the first place

hybrid cars are more efficient because the petrol/diesel engine can be run at its most efficient RPM all the time while in a nonhybrid the RPM's are all over the place. hybrids can also recover some of the kinetic energy of the car when you apply the breaks, nonhybrids don't do this. to refuel a hybrid you just have to fill the tank. the engine produces power that charges the batteries. HHO is complete bull. we've analysed it quite thuroughly on these forums. just search for it and you'll find it.

it is a very good insulator but heat can be transferred by thermal radiation. you will get colder but very very slowly. infact, if you were kept alive by an oxygen supply and something akin to a wet suit to apply some pressure to you you would die of overheating first as your body would be producing more heat than can be carried away by radiation. it probably wouldn't cause your lungs to collapse as your body will not expand that much, they will shrink(after an initial expansion as your chest tries to explode). pluto is cold because it has been in space for ages, it has had time to cool down.

should they regulate the amount of carbon-14 you swallow everyday? i can't imagine how they would be able to do that.
-
yes, there is. you wear a hat on your head, and a wank is when you masturbate. these are two very different things. not sure how you could get the two confused. if you are one of these people, best not to go anywhere that head gear may be required. just because hats help, doesn't mean that they are necessary.

no a silver crown would have sank. silver is denser than water, polystyrene foam is not.
-
no, it wouldn't. it would have made discovering that the king was being cheated spectacularly easy as not only would it float unlike a gold crown, it would easily crumble in your hands.
-
they don't they just make it slightly easier to manage.
-
yes it can. the sunlight dumps a lot of heat onto your head. especially if you have dark hair or are bald and have dark skin. a hat(prefferably light coloured) will reflect a lot of this light. that said, you are trying to equate winter and summer hats in the OP. in winter, a wooly hat would be best as it insulates. if you put that on in summer, the people who told you to put a hat on would probably think you were a bit thick. in summer a hat that allows airflow around the head and provides a bit of shade is whats called for. sombreros are good. and again, if you wore a sombrero in winter, people would think you're a few sandwiches short of a picnic. The right hat at the right time will work as they say it does but the wrong hat at the wrong time will just make you look silly.

well, an otto engine can run on anything that'll cause an explosion, you just need an effective delivery system. a petrol engine is close enough so it can run on hydrogen but not very safely. there are ones designed to run on pure hydrogen and they function very well. but the hydrogen injector, is i agree not about boosting through hydrogen(that wouldn't make sense from a second law of thermodynamics point of veiw either. the effect would be noticable on older cars in a fuel consumption reduction and a small performance boost but newer better tuned cars will not notice much difference as the burn is nearing completion(it gets most of the energy out)

okay, i was thinking about this analogy some more over breakfast and theres another thing i don't get. what is straightening/rubbing/stretching the bar in reality? and farsight, as we have said before, if you post the maths and answer questions properly instead of rehashing a previous statement of yours and stop trying to pass it off as fact immediately the we will listen, analyse, ask question and even help you. yes, help you. all we need is something to work with and for you to communicate your ideas in a sensible way(prefferably maths with a running commentary).
-
yep eurostars been doing that for a while now. i've never been on it myself(used the boat kind of ferry) but it works.
-
i would think it would mean a regular smoker rather than an occasional smoker. but there should definitely be a clarification such as 'a smoker is defined to be some who smokes x cigarettes(or equivalent) per y amount of time'
-
Imagine a bar bent like half a sine wave: check Figuring out why straightening it is like compton scattering: EPIC FAIL! i think the bar analogy sucks. mainly because i don't get it at all. why don't you try forgoeing the analogies and get down to the equations, those i can understand. So... you are saying it is cause is random? isn't that where we started(back the the other thread)
-
i don't think it is very accurate. its more about knowledge than actual thought.
-
so why don't you tell us then?
