both. you are incorrectly assuming that air has no traction with the ball. a simple experiment to disprove this is to stick your head out of the window of a car going 70 mph. then try and tell me air has no traction. if air had no traction the ball would follow a parabola regardless of spin. add in air resistance and you can affect direction because friction will be less on one side of the ball. wich is perfect conditions for a turn.

and what about observed results that show it is a three particle system? and also, you are using a non accepted model. as for the chance involved, imagine you have a box with three little catapults in it. two have ping pong balls on them and are primed to go off(the down quarks) and one isn't loaded or tensioned(the upquark). you are not allowed to look in the box during the experiment(we cannot dirrectly observe the decay as it would require something akin to photons able to bounce off everything involved.) after some time, you notice a ping pong ball fly out(the electron). we now look in the box(detecting whether the particle is a proton or neutron, we can do ths easily in real life) we see two 'up quarks' and one 'down quark' the chances are high that it was one of the down quarks that popped that electron out right? same deal with the actual neutron.

no he is right, this is usually the case because when an object is stationary the surfacesridges and bumps intermesh slightly(since they are not perfectly smooth) when it is moving they cannot do this so the force they can apply is smaller. of course, one the velocity is up high enough this will not matter and you will get a higher force of friction anyway.

yeah, but that you make an alternating field electrets have a static field

Any way to induce hallucination without drugs?
insane_alien replied to hw help's topic in Psychiatry and Psychology
i'm not saying you shouldn't be cautious but you did seem to be perpetuating a lot of bull about hallucinogens. -
ehh that would be a changing magnetic field creates an electric one. static fields don't do squat.

nope, milk to butter is a chemical change. nothing to do with fluid properties. though both are non newtonian in nature. butter is shear-thinning by the way, thats why you can spread it.

well, seeing as a down quark turns into an up quark as well i would think that the chance that the W- was emitted from that down quark is pretty high.

its the same world, just a different perspective with a good amount of signal noise thrown in. some good, some bad. and i don't know what you mean by 'mental preparation'. the one and only time i tried a hallucinogen i didn't prepare mentally for it. nothing bad happened, and according to my friend who is a more regular user, it was reasonable dose and not just a very small one. saying that, i have had very very similar experiences actually, many and often more vivid. all without the aid of drugs. its called 'dreaming'. sleep deprevation is also good for it if you don'tmind waiting for a few days. -
so, captain, how do you explain this picture then? and really, it does work, don't take my word for it, or the pictures. get some iron fillings(which essentially act like tiny compasses) a sheet of paper and a magnet and try it for yourself. the iron filing align along the field lines. if their hypothesis was correct then they should converge in the middle as well. also, as for your 'evidence' we have no information on, the magnet used, the magnetometer used, the method of use, your competency, ...well anything but some anecdotal evidence which is useless.

doesn' spectroscopy measure absorbtion/emission lines? thats what i remember from my spectroscopy class a couple of years ago.
-
okay, i had doubts it would work.

look at the join date for the user 'blike' he's the owner.

with the current financial system, yes. but when we finally get the technology to do that i would imagine there would be laws against it.

odds of a planet out there being habitable to us, extremely high. odds of a planet out there being habitable to us AND being close enough to reach with current and near-future tech, extremely low.

yeah, all metals can burn but it usually takes extreme conditions for that to happen. and often an oxidiser other than air.

you should go back to the 1900's cars were predominantly electric then. pity that they never stuck around so our battery technology could have improved a whole bunch by now.

a box of roses is for a shotgun. duh! have you never watched the terminator films?

hvae fun waiting. this guy is a hit an run spammer of the same crap over and over again. he has only replied to one of his threads once. ever. -
yeah thats what i meant, got my terms mixed up there. thanks for spotting that.

yes and it is also how the cannibals like their fortune tellers.

Could a digital spectrometer be used to detect compounds in the local atmosphere? i'm not sure if the air is dense enough to work in such a small space or even the tiny amount of aroma chemicals in the air that make a smell. just wondering if it would be possible to use this to make a sort of universal machine nose. probably not, it popped into my head while writing stuff about heat exchangers and thought i'd throw it out there see if anything happens.

why not post it here instead of continually linking to your own site. also, if you used the search function you would find that we have been over this several times.

In my experience it is usually a matter of taste than of gravity, or the horniness of the woman. for instance, really skinny is just as disgusting and off putting as really fat. a happy medium is best.

go to a library with some friends spread out so you can't be sen and make loud orgasmic noises. you need to keep moving so they don't know its you. thats fun. might get banned though.
