  1. o dear god we're all gonna die! ***starts digging a fallout shelter***
  2. its turkey that wants into the EU not the EU forcing turkey into it. geographically Turkey isn't but since when has political definitions cared about geographical definitions
  3. CPL, wireless G routers transmit on something like a thousandth that of a phone's power. i think we'll all be safe from them.
  4. well, the hydrogen isn't likely to be under so much pressure as the most effective ways of storing it ar when its chemically bonded to something. also its not going to be mixed with oxygen till it hits the fuel cell.
  5. i'll use this when i have the time to do it for every question which i doubt i'll have, ever.
  6. i'm up for a front page, doesn't need to be the origional front page. its nice for people who aren't used to the forum structure.
  7. as long as nobody notices i'm not bothered.
  8. just stick to B.Sc or B.Sci if only to safe potential employers spraying coffee all over their nice clean desks and walls.
  9. different form. its still all energy.
  10. GRAMMAR NAZI! i know its wrong but my fingers type different.
  11. well, you can make educated guesses from electronegativities and nearby functional groups which might make dissociation more likely (or less likely)
  12. okay, umm. knowing the structure allows you to determine if it will dissociate completely or only partially. thats pretty much correct. its just that they are not in solution with a polar solvent so they won't dissociate.
  13. ok, say acetic acid in aqueous solution gives a dissociation constant of 0.6(its NOT this) that means for every 10 molecules dissolved, 6 of them dissociate. this won't change. so, what must you increase to get more ions into the system?
  14. the ratio of dissociation is the same. (hence why its called the dissociation constant). so what else has changed that conductivity has increased?
  15. well, what carries charge in a solution? how well does acetic acid dissociate?
  16. okay, look up dissociation constants. you don't have to fin out the charges, just the relative concentrations of the ions in the solutions. that in no way answers the third question(the reasons behind their conductivity) that you posted (perhaps you referenced a different question by accident)
  17. it can only evolve if it can reproduce itself. you are a biocomputer in some respects the only way YOU can evolve is to reproduce. although there is the potential for insanity which is a whole other kettle of fish and is very likely to be dangerous.
  18. we only have 3 colour receptors in our eyes, red, green and blue. this does not mean that when we detect yellow light, we see yellow, it means that our red and green receptors are activated because the reception is pretty broad. the brain interprets this as yellow but the eyes are saying red and green, no blue. when you see blue and red, the eyes say blue and red, no green. so your brain won't interpret that as green. it will interpret it as purple. people can't tell the difference between continuous spectra and mixtures of the three colours. for example, the screen your looking at right now only has 3 colours(i don't care if it says"32 million colours" on it anywhere its only got 3. it just varies the intensity and combination of those three into 32 million variations
  19. 1/ plants like heat, why do you think greenhouses are used a lot. 2/global warming does not necessarily mean that everywhere will heat up, the UK for example is predicted to cool down, a lot. 3/global warming will also lead to increased humidity, plants like this.
  20. okay, nobody is going to give the answers away. your going to have to do much of the work your self, we just point you the right way. 1/ what are the charge carrier concentrations in the solution 2/ you should be able to get this. you can either look it up on google or consider the same point i mentioned for 1/ 3/again, see 1 and i'm looking at the lab report i wrote for this exact experiment several years ago and i got 100% in it.
  21. snail: indirectly proportional i think you'll find. farsight: ecoli has not ad hom'd you he asked a valid question. You see a paper about how quantum mecanics is an illusion and it can all be explained by newtonian mechanics, you also notice that it is written by a marine biologist(no other degrees/doctorates). Are you going to trust the paper? D_H: matter/antimatter annihilations? the photons have the same relativistic mass as the previous particle/anti-particle 's rest mass and relativistic mass. because of the energy equivalence. Mass and energy are the same thing.
  22. why not just run an AV program. they should be able to clean it off.
  23. corillian, biofuels also absorb a lot of CO2 in their production. to make them(globably) we would require vast tracts of photosynthetic bio matter. the same stuff that absorbs CO2 and pumps out O2.
  24. nah, its not as explosive as people think. It probably won't even be stored in is hydrogen form. The current most likely solution is metal hydrides which, if exposed during a crash would slowly react with moisture in the air and give off hydrogen slowly. not explosively. if it rains the hydrogen will be given off a bit faster but still not explosively. a hydrogen fire like this would be a lot less dangerous than a petrol fire since hydrogen rises quickly while petrol seeps down and pools around where there might be injured people unable to escape the fire.
  25. based on the molecular size of virii(tiniest ones) and the structure of latex its not going to happen unless there is a tiny tear which would probably showup when the condom is used.
