only if its fission. besides i meant all those as source of electricity for making hydrogen for fuel cells, or just to charge up batteries

YT, doesn't it make neutron radiation from alpha particles? neutron radiation doesn't show up on geigers -
well, they are renewable in the sense that we can recover the hydrogen and oxygen again. just need to get power from another source. it IS a good option though. we can use solar, or nuclear or wind or whatever to get the hydrogen back.
-
it takes exactly the amount of energy to break the molecule apart as you get out of it when you burn the hydrogen and oxygen. due to losses you'll find it actually takes a LOT more to get the hydrogen/oxygen mix than you get out of it.

well, he had the idea of wirelessly transmitting power, i didn't say he got it working.

its how transformers work already, tesla had the idea. with a bit of refinement then yeah, it could probably work in a few specialized areas but i'm not sure about residential and office applications.
-
well, it would help if we knew what experiment you were doing. there are literally thousands of titrations where starch would be added near the end.

well, its a standard pack of cheap cards(plastic coated) and its roughly 5mm, when they went in it was at least 2 mm and i measured one at 6 although there is probably an error of ~ +/- 1 mm. the depth seems to depend more on spin than lateral velocity as i got cards to stick in even if they are going way less than 25 mph.

if you use relativity (and this is an effect we can see in particle accelerators) A cannot throw the ball at 15 m/s relative to him (i'm assuming that you mean the cosmic speed limit is 10m/s instead of c, if your not then this experiment isn't really relevant) but B will still see it approaching him at 10m/s relative to him. this works because of the time dilation and length contraction also predicted by relativity and also observed in reality.

Okay, so i just watched the mythbuster episode with the killer deck myth. i know it can't actually kill people but i thought "hey that would be a cool thing to do" and since i only have two urgent things for uni i done some solid practice at it. i must be doing something right because my plasterboard wall is covered in tiny cuts everywhere and my mum looks like she's going to rip my throat out via my nostrils. through experimentation i know its all about spin and most of that comes from the wrist but how fast do these things have to be spinning to cut half a centimeter into plasterboard(drywall in the US i believe)?

not to mention all the internal wars between clans and counties we've had since we got to these wet and windy isles -
my god who would pay $145 for a passport holder? jeez. and HOW MUCH for a file case, this el cheapo plastic one i've got my assignments in cost 25p and has been serving me well for 4 years now. these people have too much money and their wealth should be evenly distributed to me. okay, okay, the rest of this forum as well except stu. he still owes me a sandwich.

you do realise that we already have greater accuracies than that. and i don't know what your saying about shaky numbers in SR, we've built many sytems completely dependant on SR being extremely accurate (see GPS) if your theory is right then the readings should give positions a few hundred meters out by now.

paranoia that is a myth. the scales used had an accuracy of +/- 100 grams. 21 grams is as good as zero on them.

ok, paranoia, hypothetical question here. your walking along the street, a couple of gangs are having a turf war or summat and you get hit by a stray/ricochet. would you be very happy? would you want those people to be allowed guns? -
try formatting the flashdrive(take important stuff of first) and are you using the same OS on each computer?

oo a trip to scotland. At least the travel time will be less than a planck second.

ooo so insightful. seriously, if more than 5% of the boards active members didn't know that the monetary system doesn't really have value if you take people out then i would be surprised. on another note, energy does not work like money. stop fooling yourself.

jesu, that would work, if you have a sone sitting in the tarp above the cup then you get more water as itsl less likely to drip off before the apex.

no, scientists just hate made up words. like evolutive. wtf does that mean? it isn't in any dictionary or scientific paper i've read. for all i know it could mean 'to have bananas shoot out your ears whilts you eat a bar of choclate' there isn't much content to that post. just oodles of fluff. -
well, it needed to be done considering some of his earlier threads.

Area 51 does exist, it was a planned nuclear test site. it was then disbanded and declassified, then reclassified when they decided to use it as an experimental aircraft testing ground and its been admitted again by the government who seem to think the populace rather stupid.
