You could make posts in other areas. you don't have to be the biggest expert in the world to post in an area your not studying. for instance, i no longer study physics and don't have a university education in it but i can still answer questions like "how is heat transfered?" actually thats a bad example as i will have a whole class on process heat transfer next year but you get the picture? btw, what is your field? <edit> never mind i just looked at your profile. still i'm sure you would be able to comment on the mathematical side of some scientific posts. i mean maths is a requierment of computer science isn't it.

its meant to give newbies a rough measure of how knowledgable that member is about science. although it isn't exactly accurate. maybe a reputation system would be better but i'm not too sure about it.

it only rises when you post in the science part of the forums. if you just post in general discussion it won't budge.

Ok, Six, you do sound depressed even though you said your not. boredom and depression actually feel pretty similar except you can escape boredom by doing something interesting and depression you just can't see the point in doing anything.which seems to be the way you see life just now. you say your an artist, why don't you paint/draw/sculpt/whatever your feelings, or your ideal world. it might cheer you up a bit. heat can propagate in 3 ways, convection, conduction and radiation. in convection hot gas/liquid/plasma moves up and cold gas/liquid/plasma moves down. there are usually atleast 2 conduction/radiation steps for this to keeps cycling in conduction the heat is transmitted by molecular vibrations. if there is no matter however the heat transfers by the emmission of infrared or in extreme cases like stars UV/vis and some Xrays as well

In my experience dating friends can be a bit more awkward(sp?) than dating someone you've only known a few days. and has once led to me losing a good friend. oh and those girls who supposedly asked you out on a date you probably hurt their feelings by rejecting them. i mean if they had a crush on you it takes quite a bit of courage to go up to someone and ask them out like that. i believe that they would be less hurt if you did go on a date with them and they then found out that you weren't right for them. there might be a bit of disappointment to both parties but hey life isn't all that nice.

Hot chocolate works for me during exams. If you've got everything sorted for college(all the paper work and stuff) ignore it. just wait till after your exams. worry about your exams first. just chillax breathe and do a bit of casual studying music in the background is good. just put on anything you like. i study to nine inch nails and motorhead but thats just me. everybody is different. few deep breaths and relax, it'll all work itself out.
