  1. Azure looks exactly like one of my best friends! this has gave rise to some very very disturbing images and i will never see either of them in the same light again. who thought one little photo could have such an effect. At least my friend has that capability to be nice, but only when she really wants something. Hold on, this means i think Azure is hot since i think my friend is hot... AHHHH.... collapses in a heap of tortured thoughts EDIT : WAAAHH I missed my 1000th post! better go back and edit it.
  2. it used to be a football team(soccer for all you yanks) got a pint per person if they won a game and nothing if they lost. what happened to that. EDIT: this is my thousandth post. i can't believe i missed it. i was hoping to make a really profound statement or something of the like to mark it but it has failed miserably. bugger. just have to make a good one for my 2000th post.
  3. But it will. it'll also discharge if left on a wooden floor, ceramic floor or if its suspended in mid air by magical pixies.
  4. tried taking the keys off and giving the thing a clean. my f key stopped working for a week from a biscuit crumb.
  5. in 1976, a Los Angeles secretary named Jannene Swift officially married a fifty pound rock. More than twenty people witnessed the ceremony. The Chinese politician Mao Zedong refused to ever brush his teeth and instead just washed his mouth with tea.
  6. Blue noise makes sense and i concur with his statements. yours how ever i cannot comprehend without twisting my brain into all sorts of 19 dimentional shapes.
  7. Have you ever studied chemistry or physics at all? because you obviously don't know that you get more energy out of D-D fusion than D-N fusion. BTW the earth does not have a fusion core or we would be able to detect lots and lots of neutrinos and gamma ray.
  8. hmm i seem to be neutral for all of them. well nearly neutral. says i slightly prefer straight people to gay people and same with yound to old. i don't like the bit where you put good and bad in same option as gay/straight and old/young black/white etc. although i think i can see where there going with that, somebody who is racist against blacks would automatically associate bad words with black people and click that option even if the option for bad words was with white.
  9. Ummm what drugs were you on when you wrote that? strong ones from the sound of it. it made some sort of sense until the last part after the ......
  10. This is because the earths atmosphere provides friction. this slows the orbital velocity and it eventually crashes in to the big rock below it.
  11. you havent answered my point about the kerosene burning hot enough to weaken the structure so it collapses.. that video didn't really say much about anything BTW.
  12. WTC 7 was brought down by WTC1&2 coming down on top of it. The buildings were designed to take a hit or 2 from aircraft but they made the assumption that the planes would not be fully loaded with fuel. Jet fuel(Kerosene) burns hot enough to structurally weaken steel a lot. your average office interior on the other hand doesn't really burn hot enough or have enough fuel for the fire to weaken the structue. also in your average office building fire the structure hasn't just undergone the incredible stresses of a 100 tonne plane flying into it. the building fell down the way it did because it was designed to. think about it. eventually the building would have to be demolished to make way for new (probably taller) buildings. the quickest way is demolishion. also you don't want the thing to fall over sideways in an accident. so the architects designed it so the most likely way for it to fall was straight down. this undoubtedly saved a lot of lives considering the size of the towers.
  13. i was meaning that there are animals that can see a good part of the IR and UV spectrums as well as our visible spectrum. i really did appear grumpy there didn't i. must be this cold.
  14. because they spend most of their orbit outside the solar system and only start flaring inside the orbit of saturn.
  15. Not any more. its been redefine to the distance light travels in a 1/299,792,458 of a second.
  16. Ryan: it will eventually kill you yes. if its only a few little wiffs you'll be fine but if its prolonged then you'll die. we actually need carbon dioxide to breathe since it controls our breathing rate. if there is none then we will actually stop breathing unless we conciously control it. and you can't keep that up for long, or know how fast you need to breath to keep from hyper ventilating or going hypoxic
  17. Meh compared to the rest of nature our eyes suck the big one. we can only see a small part of the spectrum and that in only three colours. we have a very limited range and a relatively narrow field of view. our depth perception is useless after about a mile and our retinas are on backwards. The most amazing thing about our eyes to me is that the even work with all the stuff thats wrong with them.
  18. Not quite. it would make your voice high like helium(it would be even better at it) but since hydrogen is reactive it will get into your blood stream and that can cause a few problems. A thing to remember when handling chlorine is, Chlorine was used in gas bombs in the trenches in world war 1 and possibly 2 . if the chlorine is strong enough to smell it i would advise leaving the room until it has dispersed. and always have a window open or better yet do it outside away from peopleand animals.
  19. ozone molecules are only slightly bigger than a water molecule. the fact is that they are amazingly god at absorbing UV and re radiating it at lower wavelegnths. The reaction that couses O2 to become O3 is only effective at the altitude of the ozone layer because it has the right conditions of pressure, temperature and intensity of UV light. there is enough to have a lot of ozone production but the the wavelegnths that destroy ozone(high energy UV and up) are sufficiently filtered out by the upper atmosphere for the ozone to stick around a whil.
  20. its right if you factor in relativity. which is inescapable considering you would be going faster than the speed of light without it.
  21. It exists. it doesn't usually exist for long since this is a matter universe but some is made in the sun, some particles are thought to exist in interstellar space and small quantities are made here on earth in cyclotrons. Use the forum search function for more info.
  22. Yes but why would you need explosives and thermite when a plane with a crap load of fuel has just flew into it at about 250 mph! the burning fuel is enough to structurally weaken the steel enough so it collapses under the stress of the above building and the weight of the 737 thats suddenly dumped its weight onto it. i think your just another 9/11 conspiracy theorist. it was jet fuel that brought the towers down, not thermite. [/end stream of consiousness]
  23. Your not AzurePhoenix! Your way too tame! IMPOSTER!
  24. oops sorry wasn't quite awake then
  25. that would appear to be jet fuel on fire pouring out of the building. There was a lot of fuel on that plane so it either goes down the inside or the outside. Where it sparks when it hits the building is just the liquid splashing. just like water, thats on fire.
