C4 is primarily RDX. and the explody bit is entirely RDX. RDX doesn't require any external compounds to go boom, it'll go quite happily on its own. not to mention its entirely possible to use other types of explosive to initiate the nuclear detonation.

you do know that you need to do more than show you know how to use a thesaurus to have a valid theory. it has been explained clearly why your idea is not valid as a theory and you have yet to do more about this than whine. you want us to tell you that you have a wonderful theory that will revolutionize modern life? well then, give us exactly that and it shall be so. don't expect it if all you're going to do is provide us with bumph that doesn't actually have any meaning behind it.

the LD50 of urea is on the order of 5 grams per kilogram. not too poisonous. so for a 70kg person thats 350g of urea they'd need to consume. or in urine form, 37.5L of urine. thats a lot of pee. you're essentially going to be physically unable to drink that much fluid.
-
put it this way, urine is your bodies way of getting rid of stuff it doesn't want or need. if you are reingesting the waste then its going to accumulate somewhat. the only time i'd advise it is if you knew you weren't going to have a water source available to you any time in the near future when recycling water becomes very very important.

we could eat the result fine. although it may not have the same nutritional benefit. such as with glucose. there are two forms of glucose, L-glucose and the common D-Glucose(reffered to as dextrose in food and pharma) dextrose will taste sweet and can be metabolised while L-glucose tastes slightly less sweet and cannot be metabolised(makes a good sweetner)

The impossible machine runs faster than the wind pushing it...
insane_alien replied to Externet's topic in Engineering
you should see some high camber aerofoils, they essentially approximate this design. used for applications that need high lift at low airspeeds. -
only if there is an advantage to being able to produce the amino acids such as there being significantly lower levels of an essential amino acid in the populations food sources and no suplementary sources are available either. it will of course take many hundreds of generations before the mutation that allows synthesis of the amino acid shows up and takes hold in a significant amount of the populace though.

yes, but the fusion process in stars is commonly reffered to as burning even by proffesional astrophysicists. what you are reffering to is combustion. but even that doesn't REQUIRE oxygen.

40*C isn't hot enough to cause slowdown. your problem lies elsewhere

unfortunately there is no way of determining the right value. you'll just have to do a curve fitting

or buy a new heatsink and fan to replace the stock one. doubtful that heat is the issue without further information though. have you tried getting a utility to report the temperature of your CPU?

how much programming do you already know? and in what language?

Are Negative Emotions Causing You To Get Sick?
insane_alien replied to needimprovement's topic in Psychiatry and Psychology
its hardly a reputable source on health matters. the primary causes of disease are microbes. yes, your emotions do play a role as they can affect the performance of your immune system, but this requires studies of hundreds of people to extract a signal. -
Why is a full moon best seen at noon?
insane_alien replied to John Salerno's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
http://www.lunarrepublic.com/info/phases.shtml says universal time. thats the site i was talking about. i'd assume universal time = UTC -
Why is a full moon best seen at noon?
insane_alien replied to John Salerno's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
it lists the time(down to the minute) in UTC when it is at peak fullness. this happens to coincide with your noon. thus, you will not be able to see it at its peak(as its on the other side of the world). it will still look like a full moon when it does become visible to you. -
well, yeah, it is energy saving as it takes energy to turn amino acids from one form to another(as well as requiring more input of the base amino acid you're converting.)

i'd use buses more often if they actually turned up on time. last time i decided to use public transport it took me over two hours to get a bus. this is on a route where there is supposedly a bus every ten minutes. now, a few(4) buses did turn up, but every single one of them had the not-in-service displaying. as a result i was quite late and would have been quicker walking to the trainstation(a few miles away) and then walking from the trainstation at the other end (another couple of miles) than taking the more direct route of a bus.

Dark matter-energy interactions

only if dark energy interacts via gravity. -
Significance of the Higgs Boson Particle
insane_alien replied to HiggsBoson's topic in Quantum Theory
eh? this is the normal approach, we are testing theories(quite a few at once) as per normal scientific method. it has an emotional element yes, its exciting to know that soon we will have a better understanding of the universe whatever the outcome of the experiment. i don't see why you would want scientists to be less excited at that prospect. its what drives essentially all of us. and really a lot of the fuss over it is media coverage rather than the scientists themselves. the scientists are doing things properly (lots of data gathering and analysis before a conclusion is reached) while the media are going ZOMG! GOD PARTICLE! but then thats a difference of objective. scientists want to see which contender describes reality the best and journalists want to sell stories. they wouldn't sell so many if the just said 'Scientists continue to analyse data' -
yes, but the change in behaviour could be considered part of its effectiveness.

Ants at high speed: would they age slower or faster?
insane_alien replied to Myuncle's topic in Relativity
well, your ion engines can't even accelerate themselves at 1g. you're talking millinewtons per kilogram at best. -
Significance of the Higgs Boson Particle
insane_alien replied to HiggsBoson's topic in Quantum Theory
i don't think its right to compare it to a religion. more, the standard model has already proven itself to be a highly reliable theory and the confirmation of the higgs boson(which it predicts) would be a major piece of evidence in its favour. similarly, the absence of the higgs at the predicted energy regimes would also be hailed as a major scientific break through as it means there is something majorly wrong with standard model. put simply, the presence or absence of the higgs boson will determine the course of quantum physics. its discovery or lack there of will falsify many a theory and hypothesis allowing us to concentrate on those that fit best with reality. i'd say that its akin to the significance of discovering that light is finite in speed. -
well, your control group could just be monitoring people who weren't using the gel.
-
well, you've got one member wh's took it at least.

nothing you said there makes any sense if you know even basic chemistry. especially if you take it in the context of the "equation" given in the first post. you're phrasing sounds like you're trying to imitate startrek. i'm just waiting for you to reverse the polarity of the thrust inverters.
