underground could maybe work on the nightside as long as you dig far enough down to get heat from the mantle. on the day side the rock would eventually get too hot in all areas. it would also help bring magma closer to the surface and that could probably lead to earthquakes and volcanoes. i have no idea about it really i'm just letting my mind wander

disasters like that happen all the time. the prediction is too vague to be considered as an actual psycic prophecy. if he gave the date, time, location, nature of diaster and death toll then it would be more probable that he made an actual prediction. a lot can happen in 3 years. its almost like saying "it will rain in scotland sometime between 25/09/05 and 1/10/05. although any scottish person will tell you that its likely to rain on every single one of those days.
