  8. a high google rating does not mean you are God.
  9. Is it worth buying a laptop for university? i'm unsure about it and have heard various views on it. i'm doing chemical engineering if it makes a difference and the university has full wifi coverage
  10. the foce only provides an acceleration for the object not a speed. s

  14. POO why don't you just cut and paste all the equations you have for pulsoid theory onto a post in this thread and then we will go through them.
  15. basically the electron orbits because it is less massive than the nucleus which is at least 1439 times heavier than the sum of the electrons.
  16. hmmm.... methinks i will go through his site and translate his gobbledegook into actual words. i think iwill need several dictionaries in several languagues and some more time... for now .... i must go and work!
  17. basically its all about when you've just got over the shock that electrons don't orbit in nice little circles but complex shapes that seem to make no sense, they give you another shock in that those complex shapes can form into even more complex and nonsensical shapes. fun...
  18. 1. gravity has never been observed on that scale. mainly because the force is tiny. there are magnetic fields everywhere just like there is gravity.
  19. current is treated as flowing from the positive end even though the actual current is flowing from the negative end. Who started this convention to have current flow from the positive end? the americans....

  21. but never the less it is the current
  22. no the neutron is by definition neutral so it couldn't keep an electron in an orbit. a proton could and it would be called Hydrogen. the neutron would decay anyway.
  23. err voltage doesn't kill. its current that kills. i got a 20,000 Volt van de graaf and i if i can die from 230V mains voltage then this thing should completely fry me if it was voltage. but the current it can produce is tiny so i live when i touch it.
  24. That is because you have not provided any mathemetics on the page you linked to. you didn't even say what the eliptical constant is.
  25. the saturn V could lift 125 tonnes quite nicely. i'm assuming that one built today could lift as much and be smaller and lighter.
