That is the basics of physics. EVERYTHING not just matter ,although matter and energy are the samething, follows precise mathematical laws. theories are what we think those equations are. the only error comes from having a flawed theory which means we have to formulate a new theory which can explain more than the old theory and why the old theory was right when it was.

i think he might have missed a bit out of the problem, there is NO WAY it could be that simple.

if (H2O)ice is cold enough would the ice melt
insane_alien replied to sunofawrx's topic in Inorganic Chemistry
at least he isn't considering temperatures below 0K which is usually brought up in things like this. -
also the blades could fly apart if you don't get them equal in weight.
-
it could be a higher density liquid as the molecules could maybe fit closer together but it would boil easier as it has less polarity. i don't think it is possible cos the 2 lone pairs of electrons keep the hydrogen atoms held at their usual angle and only thermal vibrations cause it to differ momentarily

yes space elevators are cooler but theres the whole problem of getting all the construction materials to build it.

superconductor electromagnetic shield
insane_alien replied to labview1958's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
Yes it can be used like that. just search superconductor magnetic shielding in google and it comes up with a list of links -
don't see why that would change the chemical properties much if it was possible. well it is possible in certain conditions but when you bring the water back to standard temp/pressure then it goes back to normal. its to lure in gullible people i think.
-
if you found a way around the extreme acceleration then you would still have the problem of the temperature as you leave the muzzel. you would effectively need a heatshield for going up a well as down.

heh heh some unis have 3GB/s in the libraries:P

I've been having a problem...
insane_alien replied to BobbyJoeCool's topic in Psychiatry and Psychology
i've been through sleep cycle changes before. i was sleeping in the dayand up at night which was kind of weird but it eventually went back to normal. -
i studied french for 4 years but couldn't grasp it at all.i dropped it after failing miserably on my standard grade exams. after the exams me and my family went on holiday to france and i could have coherent conversations with the locals in french! how weird is that. then i started forgetting the words and now know no french(again)

reflection requires less space than absorbing. dunno exactly what materials would be best for it though.

Arteries are usually round and stay round but veins kind of fold up a bit and are more squishy maybe he is talking about these characteristics and not those of blood flow. or it could be non scientific termonology

ahh yes metafrizzics a favourite method of mine. Take 1 large chunky magnet/electromagnet put it on the chip and wiggle about to induce currents the currents destroy the chip.

that could be bad if god decides he'll push us up instead of down. lol j/k never seen so much crap.

I've seen a lot of breakthroughs come out of india that are insignificant compared to a cure for AIDS you cannot blame it all on the conditions there. Its not all tribal villages you know. it is actually Aquired immunodeficiency disorder as it is HIV along with another disease that has crept in due to the lack of a proper immune system caused by HIV. multiple googles have confirmed this.

I was sleepy OK?

tinfoil. usually not in hat form unless you believe that They are watching us with sattelites that can read our minds
-
umm in india it would still draw huge media crowds and scientists. I also think that this guy is a fake. if he has found out how to cure AIDS why isn't he world famous, rich, nobel prize, household name and/or getting false scandals spread about him in the tabloids.

yeah it's cloudy here too can't see the damn things

i know that only most of the U-235 is used but there is so little left that it is negligble. Yes the U-235 is more radioactive than U-238 but its not that much more radioactive. both U-235 and U-238 can reach a critical mass and U-235's is smaller but isn't it meant to be the U-238 that were talking about.

The perfect problem that shows Relativity INCONSISTENCY.
insane_alien replied to martillo's topic in Trash Can
he is right velocity is a vector variable. that means a direction as well as a magnitude. -
depleted uranium is when all of the U-235 has been used up by the reactor. the "depleted" part only refers to the U-235 not the radioactivity so the term depleted uranium is not a misnomer. the U-238 leftover could be used in fast breeder reactors to provide power and some more fuel(hence the name "breeder"). there is no isotobe of uranium that is stable and unradioactive but it is used in sheilding intense radiation sources and then some lower grade sheilding protects against the radioactivity of the U-238. i think for the domestic generator you are meaning an R.T.G. which has been used in a few space missions but it needs a more active radio-isotope to provide a decent power/volume ratio. with U-238 you would need a lot of cubic meters to power a house.

Right i know from T.V. and the web that there are shops called radio shack in america and they sell all sorts of spare electrical components and stuff like that but is there anything similar in the U.K. or more specifically Glasgow, Scotland? I haven't been able to find places that sell resistors and stuff just appliances and gizmos.
