I believe CH2O exists and is called methanal is this what you were meaning?
-
do you mean singularities as in black holes or mathematical singularities. there is more than one type.
-
as much detail as you like its all good i just want to know how this little bit of genetics works.
-
Right i'm not so big in genetics but me and a few friends are making a robot which will be controlled by "genes" which are lines of code for it to display responses to stimuli etc. etc. there will be roughly 500(it can vary) of these per robot out of a selection of 2000 (thats all we can think of at the moment) and since we know nothing of biology we thought we would come here to ask, What determines if a gene is passed on during sexual reproduction? Is there a reason for it or is it just random?

I'm the David you can find in Revelations 3:7

why did you direct us to a burger king game? -
umm what do you mean new invention of the hydrogen car? they have been around for quite some time in one form or another.

when the laser is fired directly towards the second ship it still has the velocity of the ship (1000km/s i think but it is irrelevant) and it is also moving towards the second ship at what would appear to be c from the ships due to time dilation and RELATIVITY but to an outside observer where he/she/it sees the ship moving and the light going in a diagonal line at c. this is a crap explanation but its the best i can do at my current state of hungoverness.

its called the law of gravitation and yes they would hit the bottom at the same time assuming there is no air resistance if there is air resistancethey would most likely hit at different times
-
1.7billion(short scale) per second thats 1.7*10^9 per second or 1700000000 calculations per second
-
Its something to do with our minds having adapted through evolution to base everything on 3 dimensions so we havea bit of trouble imagining less dimensions but we can actually do it but more its damn near impossible since we cannot basee it in a 3dimensional enviroment

smoke bombs work with a very fine dust that is coloured like those tiny little bits of dust you can only see when the light hits them the right way. as far as i know but i could be wrong.
-
i just read it in a long lost from the historylist website about this where they deliberately took the heat sink and fan off while it was running.
-
human limit is about 12g max if it is sustained and gforces have nothing to do with speed just acceleration and they affect you just as much in space as on earth. i'm not meaning gravity its just that i hang around with a pilot regularly and if its to do with accelerations i use g-forces technically not right but force of habit.
-
umm we do realise and understand quite well how fast a mass driver could send a space ship. have you considered the gforces on the poor astronaughts that are being put through this mass driver. If its on the moon then when you get to a fast speed say >20km/s then the centrifugal effect is going to crush the astronaughts (assuming the mass driver is wrapped around the moon) the idea with just placing the rockets on the ship is a good one.

a bit off topic here but i read that pentium IV's have a sort of thermal protection thingy for the CPU while AMD's don't. Say for instance that for one reason or another the heatsink falls off or the fan fails completely then the PIV would reduce its clock speed to something tiny so it produces a lot less heat. it is just enough for you to turn your computer off. an AMD on the other hand would quickly (within 20sec) melt. Also with your problem, More fans the better.

since we only have the one moon it would quickly(in astronomical trems) form into a new moon but this process would lead to some material being ejected from earth orbit and some being pulled into a collision course with earth. if the moon went then the tides would be more stable so i don't think anyone would drown because of it.

Ok after a bit of working out i have concluded that i am not actually THAT bored at all i just thought i was. I'm off for the thrills of staring at a wall.
-
26 x 10^78 thats not the same number as 26^78 a big bit of paper would be very handy for this. what the heck, i'm bored i'll just go do it.

you could try resonance. i done that and managed to "accidentally" shatter a window. It can be used to measure the speed of sound which is easier than light since its slower. Your physics teacher should think its a pretty good idea unless your like in university or something then he'll think of you as simplistic

wow! that is a perfect example of so many people i have seen on web forums

is the Universe still being created
insane_alien replied to who_knows's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
well we can deduce that our own sun is at least a second generation star since the elements that make up our planets must have originated in a star that has died and then the remains formed into our sun and surround in planets/planetoids -
Einstein wasn't and isn't wrong, just inaccurate but one hell of a lot more accurate than newton. Unless this guys theory explains why einstein was right when his theory works and then why his equations broke down in certain circumstances and then provide replacement equations to make up for the old deficiences then i'm inclined to stick to einstein. I have not read the book yet as i am currently buired in the "Dark Tower" series by stephen king and will get round to it eventually.

I think there was a glass harddrive developed but it never caught on because the glass either had to be made special to withstand the forces or it was too slow or too unreliable compared to its metal counter parts. maybe with new advances in material sciences they might make a comeback.
-
yeah it is pretty vague and does it include alloys cause then it would run into the thousands and millions of possible "unique" metals

I was just thinking that myself. can something move by 0.5 plank legnths? if it can't then it could mean we are living in a giant computer. Lol just kidding. i don't like the idea of a digital universe it shortens the possibilities infinitely
