not exactly what i'm looking for. something with a GUI would be preffered.

I'm not sure what type of software this would come under or even if it exists(i suspect that it would either be a content management system or a database but honestly i haven't got a scooby). what i want it to be able to do is manage files. i have a massive folder chock full of PDFs word documents, spreadsheets etc etc. from uni. i want to get hese organised so i have a nice little reference if i need it. so if i can insert the file into this program along with some extra data(what class it was for, some keywords for searchability and so on) and maybe have it all contained within the one file for easy backing up. oh, and linux compatability would be excellent.

vapourising debris in their path. at significant fractions of c altering course may not be an option available.

Between two overlapping event horizons....

could travel down a path equidistant from both singularities. -

the event horizons would not be circular, they would have deformed considerably in such close proximity. -
aspirin isn't a generic term. it reffers to acetylsalycylic acid. i have never seen it reffer to anything else, especily on boxes of medication.

the videos are such low resolution it is impossible to tell. i suspect that the videos with the flying lights is just bugs flying near a camera with a bright light shining on them(looks exactly like that). the one with the 'ghost' closing the fire doors, well the most obvious explanation is that it was a living person closing some doors, judging by the long coat, because they're cold and there's a draft. but the videos are far too low quality for any leap to extraordinary conclusions like ITS A GHOST!

wormholes and 'space-time rips' haven't been observed outside of sci-fi the 'rips' aren't even hypothetical structures. worm holes are in the maybe region if you have some exotic materials which may or may not exist.

well, everytime someone goes to test stuff like astral projection it comes back negative. we're pretty sure its a bunch of hooey for a number of reasons 1/ there is no one hypothesis on astral projection, every 'psychic' you ask has their own version(s) of it 2/ there is no internally consistent hypothesis of astral projection, meaning they are all self contradicting at some point or another 3/ it has never been shown to occur in a controlled setting. ever. 4/ there is no single definition of astral projection. these are some pretty big problems. that and the only evidence FOR astral projection is anecdotal. this isn't good evidence for a very good reason. people lie. people misinterpret. and people can believe something so much that they think it is actually real despite all evidence to the contrary. it is also known that psychics use cold reading and lie to the audience when they do that speaking to the dead relative thing they do. and these are the same people that claim astral projection. so it doesn't look good for their character when it comes to how much weight we assign to the anecdotal evidence. basically, there's zero evidence and zero credibility.

What would someone with no eyes "see"?
insane_alien replied to Fanghur's topic in Anatomy, Physiology and Neuroscience
same thing you 'see' out of your field of vision. -
atomic oxygen is highly reacitve. it won't stick around for long. it'll combine with other oxygen atoms to make oxygen but also pretty much anything else.
-
any proof of your claims?
-
i doubt it could be done. especially if you consider mixtures. you might get it for simple ones like methane ethane ethene and so on but beyond that your not going to have much luck.
-
as i said before, any actual evidence and not just anecdotes?
-
most obvious flaw to point out is that you are using 'dimension' incorrectly. you're using dimension in the third rate 30's sci-fi manner. dimensions are pretty simple things. we are familiar with 4 (up-down, left-right, forward-back, future-past) there are a few more(maybe) considering some string theories but it isn't a case of moving back and forth between dimensions(this is in itself is nonsensical.) also, another major flaw, do you have any proof of astral projection at all? no anecdotal stuff but actual experimentation with repeatable results to back it up?

its not just a matter of distance, a object stationary to the surface of the earth without the GR calculations would appear to be moving at a few miles an hour (to the east i think) so the distance its out also depends on the time since the network started.

do you perhaps mean sulphurous acid? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulfur_oxoacids this is a list of all sulphur oxoacids, which one is it you mean?
-
remove the second "are" replace the "is" with "us" and it's fine

in order to shift the axis of rotation you need to apply a force, this means extra rotational energy can be coming from another source and hence you are trying to apply closed system equations and assumptions to an open system.

this is a science forum religious beliefs should be kept out of it. creationism is a religious belief. i'm a strong believer in karma but i keep that out of what i post because it isn't scientific. i have nothing but anecdotal evidence to back up my beliefs. i have no issues with keeping my (i suppose you could call it religious beliefs, perhaps spiritual is a better word, but then i don't believe in 'spirits'. umm someone a little more versed in these matters help me out) beliefs of dubious nature out of this forum, i don't see why its such a problem for others. i imagine there are also a few other members with religious beliefs that manage to keep the out of here because this is a place for scientific debate.

i think you are taking the elastic sheet analogy of space-time too far. it was only meant to be used to describe the concept of how a body distorts spacetime at a very basic level. i think you'd find the concept of frame dragging http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frame_dragging interesting.

well, that was completely redundant to the thread. its pretty clear the OP knows it is called electrolysis.

forufes, perhaps because you posted it in yellow which doesn't show up very well(i had to read the post several times in order to find it.
