high temperature and catalyst. thats pretty much it. and the catalyst is optional if you can get really high temperatures. basically you heat the molecules up enough so they shake themselves appart.

forget all that, first you need to collect the urine. and as most public urination is done by the inebriated down alleyways and in door ways thats going to be pretty hard to do. whatever you do, it would be far far more cost effective to simply produce the required chemical through industrial chemistry.

i would if i had a working scope and was in the right place. unfortunately my current situation satisfies neither of the two situations. i will be watching the live feed during my programming and optimization class though.

Difference between pure ethanol and 95%

no, you can't buy pure ethanol without a license. -
what's the fastest method to heat water?
insane_alien replied to olweiser's topic in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
well you need 67kW otherwise it won't get it hot enough, and you need the high temperatures(actually greater than the surface of the sun which is only an inadequate 6000K) to enable the heat to transfer through such a small area as proposed in the OP. you can get this from a trashcan sized device easily. if you had a workshop and were able to deal with very small pipework then you could probably get the device down to something the size of a 3 litre bottle of coke but it would be very very heavy, very intricate and very fragile. not to mention the extraordinary costs asociated with minaturization. -
Where can I find my preferred laptop?
insane_alien replied to Green Xenon's topic in Computer Science
or you can just cut power and it all goes to zero. -
so, your fine with them translating an laready mistranslated document and fitting it to support the views of a single political party that didn't exist at the time of the documents writing or even the mistranslated copy they are taking for the origional. do you not see the issues here?

Where can I find my preferred laptop?
insane_alien replied to Green Xenon's topic in Computer Science
not really, SRAM just doesn't need refreshed when it is running. but as soon as you power down it loses the data. with DRAM you need to keep refreshing it when it is powered otherwise it'll lose the data. -
but it doesn't as the rep power has a lower bound of 0.

Cancer jab to stop Cervical Cancer Type 16 & 18
insane_alien replied to AlexTehManiac's topic in Microbiology and Immunology
thats what malignant tumour means. it wasn't cervical cancer and there is no way that it could have grown so fast after the jab so it had bugger all to do with the vaccination. -
So... your plan to rectify your negative reputation is to call everyone who doesn't agree with you names? this is why you have negative rep in the first place.

1. buy laptop 2. remove HDD 3. job done. -
what's the fastest method to heat water?
insane_alien replied to olweiser's topic in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
no, and it would have to be pretty deep in the sun as te external temperature for the area required has to be 22000K as per captain panics calculations. we can reach 22000K here on earth but not with something that'll fit on the end of a hose. -
yes, it changes the activity of the enzyme be denaturing the enzyme. just like i said.
-
well if you want to be pedantic.
-
pH changes will denature an enzyme. they depend on hydrogen bonding for their secondary structure which also depends on the solution the enzyme is in. changing the pH will cause the balance to change which will affect tertiary and secondary structure and cause the active sites of the enzyme ot nolonger be effective.

as martin says, gravitational redshift must be accounted for when communicating with the satellites. the satellite sends out signals at a certain frequency and if you tuned the reciever to exactly that frequency you wouldn't get the signal. if you change the frequency apropriately using gravitational redshift equations then it is trivial to communicate with the satellite. also, gravitational redshift and gravitational time dilation are different facets of the same thing.

and no where in the scientific literature(peer review papers and such) is it called the god particle. just in popsci and journalism.

wikipedia?
-
well, its neither particle nor wave, just like everything else really. they all have bot hparticle properties and wave properties. there isn't really anything on a macroscopic scale that is analogous to it so it is a very difficult concept for most people to grasp as it isn't intuitive. but what we do know is that light has no rest mass at all. and gravity is related to rest mass so this means no gravity.

i suggest you start with your post.

well, when using the term to reffer to a person it can either be a term of endearment(a pet name), a derogitory term(to call someone a wimp) and possibly other things depending on era and location.

eh, i'd say that is open to debate. if current thoughts are on life coming from micelles that gained hereditary features then there was no single first organism and there were likely a few million of the 'first'. although it is probably impossible to determine exactly where they crossed the line from 'not alive' to 'alive'.

is there a point to this?
