  1. It does exist because some people feel they must act a certain way to be seen as conforming.
  2. What resources does one need, apart from a brain and the knowledge of those that have been before on a particular maths problem?
  3. This is my point: people have been free to denigrate some minority group for so long that it feels 'normal' to do so, and Bush at the time was complaining about preserving a style of speech that should not have been allowed in the first place.
  4. I think it illustrates how difficult the problem is to put everyone on a level base. Do things only appear politically correct because things are not currently politically-correct? The politically-correct behaviour feels incongruous, or even absurd, with the current mindset and past history. What I''m saying is that the correct behaviour has to start somewhere and it will naturally feel odd in the beginning because one is not used to it.
  5. My thought too.
  6. There is no such thing as proof in science, only evidence for.

  14. The way to honour the enslaved is to be ruthless about racism.
  15. That seems a bit weird, considering how long ago that was. Certainly, some kind of memorial effort would be good.
  16. However deep the affection, we are all passing ships.
  17. Great expression and sadly true.
  18. Perhaps the idea will be more feasible with 5G,coming, and bandwidth being less of a constraint.
  19. Yeah, some people have no idea and are literally playing with fire by combining components that can't cope with the loads.
  20. Evolutionarily, If you take one breeder out of the breeding equation you can use them to assist in the upbringing of their siblings offspring, which can significantly improve the survival of the group. That group will carry the genes of the gay individual, and so the gay gene perpetuates. In Somoan culture it's considered a third gender: https://www.sciencefocus.com/the-human-body/the-evolutionary-paradox-of-homosexuality/
  21. How do you mean?
  22. A 'variable wattage' device means it is user variable, not device variable. The same with a 'variable voltage' device. The respective parameters are held constant until the battery can't cope.
