  1. Here's some more apps: https://www.omniglot.com/language/articles/latinapps.htm
  2. Chlorine tablets to kill micro-organisms, then some sort of carbon filter device to filter fine particles and deactivate chemicals. Chlorine is routinely used in a lot of places in ordinary tap water.
  3. No problem. Make sure you Include the initial generation in your value of n.
  4. Does this help: Nn= N0 x 2n . It's the same as the above formula but I have included the multiplication sign, which is excluded by convention but it is implied. First find the value of n, which is the number of generations possible in 2 hours.
  5. Maybe Sensi or Strange can answer that. I just use them.
  6. Jump in anywhere that takes your fancy in the area of computer security that interests you. I'm sure someone will give you a more concrete path to start but in my experience of learning anything solo, it seems one just jumps in anywhere and start putting pieces together.
  7. Being able to hack is a consequence of having an intimate knowledge of how computers and software works. It's born from endless hours tinkering; not like learning to be a doctor or tradesmen with a discrete set of skills that can be put in a book and you just follow the instructions. The road to hacking is necessarily a convoluted and empirical one; suck it and see. It's the realm of geeks.
  8. Mutation. "Survival of the fittest" is the ability to breed; more offspring = greater fitness. We can breed to see which phenotypes will produce the most offspring in a given environment. The only difference between natural evolution and breeding is that the latter is contrived to a specific outcome, but it's evolution nevertheless. 'Evolution', by definition, is change in allele frequency over time, and that's what breeding does. Metaphysics concerns ontology, and science doesn't do that.
  9. So... evolution? Breeding. You need to think before you write; non sequitur.
  10. Do you think the US would have this problem if it had a system like the UK? It seems to me the private model encourages drug pushing by drug company reps at the GP level.
  11. Being pretty deaf, semitones are the closest I can differentiate and even then, on the lowest string, I can only really do full tones. Quarter tones are wasted on me.
  12. I think the idea of time flowing is a consequence of our biology. It gives order and direction to our behavior; like putting signs up along a road.
  13. Here's another on guitar:
  14. Everything you do in your life is valuable to somebody when you multiply that data by millions of people. Information is power. The more a company/government knows about you, the more they can influence your behaviour.
  15. Last time I had a tele, they were still CRT.
  16. LOL!
  17. 'Physical' pertains to physics.
  18. I think we here should be above deriding a person's appearance and stick to discussing their behaviour.
  19. In the context of this discussion it is sexist because she has some semblance of attractiveness and we don't ever judge male politicians on their looks. I would hazard a guess that if she were a Dem she'd be 'cool'.
  20. My guess is that it is the work of wasps that never got finished into a nest. This is a paper wasp:
  21. If the side that takes the view that killing is intrinsically wrong and necessarily kills in a judicious manner in order to pursue a peaceful future, relatively, they have the moral upper hand.
  22. You might find this following thread link useful. It seems the yoghurt is initially inoculated with Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus themophilus, which multiply and give the yoghurt its taste. The rest are added later on at the necessary concentration because they do not multiply in the yoghurt. You'd have to know how many you were putting in for them to be useful. Have a read of the first post: https://www.quora.com/What-happens-to-the-bacteria-in-yogurt-as-yogurt-expires Note that he highlights this:
  23. Which one is the most photogenic and likely to positively reach the most people?
  24. By keeping it colder than -252.8oC
  25. I took it as a signal against Trump since it he who was the problem in this scenario.
