  1. Photons have energy and they can be absorbed by an electron, if it has the right frequency. This absorption causes the electron to become energetic and that can create a current in a digital system, or cause a film emulsion to deposit the metal, which makes your negative or slide image in one spot of it.
  2. If something can be measured it is physical; it doesn't have to have mass to qualify. To put it another way: if something can be related to physics, it's physical. Photons are physical. The notion of 'physical' in the scale of our everyday experience is related to things we can sense through touch and have some kind of solidity but when you zoom in far enough everything is just fields and, at that small scale, the idea we call "solid" is actually just repulsion between sets of these fields, like magnets, which actually have no sense of substance we can directly relate to.
  3. Picking upon your initial response. Is it the fault of the OP, given that they are in their formative years, to present such a view - and question it - or are they unwitting victims of 'intentional cultural programming'?
  4. OK. Cheers.
  5. My guess is about 1000 years to forest over.
  6. Yeah, it only really matters if the job is functionally critical.
  7. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get to see a mushroom or two.
  8. Why can't it be genuine and ignorantly biased, in a naive way?
  9. He's young and he has been subliminally 'educated' that way, like a lot of people.
  10. I was thinking about World War 3.
  11. You are not understanding what I said. That post was nothing about the veracity of the claims. It was about the motivation by the Democrats.
  12. I think in the event of a national emergency one would want it from the horse's mouth.
  13. He has lost a lot of people a lot of money. He is financially amoral.
  14. What do you mean?
  15. Yes, the position itself is supposed to be non-partisan, but this process is wholly political and he''s responding in a like manner. This has got bugger all to to with the spirit of justice and everything to do with each getting their political side into a position of influence. I'm beginning to think Trump is good for America because he's bringing out its true motivations. Neither side is looking good.
  16. His remarks are true, it is plain to see. It's a wholly Democratic attempt at assassinating his candidacy, by whatever means. Who else is he going to point the finger at?
  17. Yes, the roots of these tests is sound, it's that they are often now misapplied to the wrong demographic.
  18. IQ tests were developed for finding the limits of people with a serious cognitive deficiency to see what help they needed; it was not for measuring intelligent people. IQ tests in other scenarios just tells you who's good at IQ tests.
  19. However this pans out, a staunch conservative is going to sit on the SCOTUS.
  20. Your English is understandable.
  21. You just need sufficient area of solar panel to provide enough power to your bulb. You need to think about other requirements like controlling temperature, supplying air etc. The first thing you need to think of is: what is it you are testing for, or, what is the point of the experiment? What are you trying to show or find?
  22. Dictet - 1957
  23. No evidence has been presented, thus far, in this enquiry; the current credibility of the accuser and accused is about the same.
