  1. It's showing that the world is adjudicating as to what is not permissible.
  2. That's it.
  3. It's not cricket... they are overstepping what is acceptable, hence the outrage.
  4. I think it's better to leave it to Israel to give them a whack as it seems rather complicated for NATO at this point. I will say that I was pretty pissed off to read that chemical weapons are being used blatantly and probably with Russian support when you consider what they've just done in the UK. I was happy to read about the Israeli missile response anyway.
  5. Israel seems to be taking the initiative on a military response to the chemical attack yesterday.
  6. Right. Thank you.
  7. I'll play with that formula, thanks.
  8. If it's random, how do elements have particular half-lives?
  9. I'm suggesting the apparent lightness/brightness of a colour is a physiological phenomenon. It's not to do with physics, as in the objective properties of colours.
  10. After disingenuously asking a question and it's turning out he has his own ideas - nothing new there - it's high time he put them out here.
  11. I don't think you can because it's physiological trait that has evolved to delineate finer variations of green through yellow better than the other. colours.
  12. There's nothing like getting older; preferring to tread the path well-trodden.
  13. Yes, they do. Responses in a thread should always be specifically relevant to the OP. Threads can and do drift off after a time sometimes but generally by then the OP has been answered.
  14. OK.
  15. Motion is d/t. How can it be the 'cause' of time when time is part of it?
  16. This is the OP's thread, not yours, and your questions are not helping the OP but distracting away from it, therefore, it's a hijack.
  17. That's why 'race' needs to die a death, because it's about colour. There are differences and different general groupings but they need to be defined and classified in a way that is scientifically useful.
  18. OK. Thanks.
  19. I just read the cause is insufficient binding energy for continued stability, so wouldn't the issue be when it - the decay - occurs, which is indeterminate?
  20. @swansont is the best person for this.
  21. Think about an unstable atom that may decay at any time (a spontaneous process) but nothing is happening until then... time is still progressing but no change is occurring. I'm sure one of the guys that know more can elaborate further. But is it a property of space, at a minimum, and fluctuations/zero point energy is the minimum of space/volume? Hope that make sense.
  22. But how is a wood one to do with it?
  23. What's that got to do with physics?
  24. Best to quote his whole sentence because he also says "duration", which does not necessitate change.
