I''m sure they will be.

You've lost me. What does that have to do with appointing the top legal mind? The Daily Mail is like your Fox News; Right-wing, hypocritical whingers.

After reading iNow's link on his business history, all I can say is that he is a cucking funt and I hope that the avalanche of shit that is following behind will fall on him before too much damage is done. It's reallly, really sad to be thinking about an American president this way.

It's pretty much what I do and periodically re-image with a clean version.

The UKs appointment of the Lord Chief Justice (UKs highest judge) doesn't have much, if any, politics in it.

That's ok. There will be a top limit to how hot it can go and you'd have to use a hotter burning type of gas to get hotter.
-
Once you supply sufficient air to a certain flow of gas that's hot as it will go so you need to increase the fuel rate to match the increased air supply.

I only use domestic wifi so you are probably right. Thinking about it after, the tunneling stops at the VPN server and then it's out in the open again from there; it's not end-to-end. Do you think what I've listed is about all I can do? I use uBlock Origin for adblocking, tracking etc.

The veggies will be in some state of digestion by the prey before consumption, so I'm sure the predator will draw something useful from it.

Does a VPN add any worthwhile added protection for financial transactions online, like banking and shopping, on top of the default SSL? I use a separate browser (firefox) for all my stuff involving money and Chrome for general browsing. I'm looking into ways of hardening up the security on the financial part of my internet use. I use NoScript, HTTPS Everywhere, uBlock Origin on FireFox and it is setup to delete everything on exit so no passwords or form data are saved.

Truly misterious and unique computer problem
StringJunky replied to Lord Antares's topic in Computer Science
If the computer was in sleep mode could a voltage spike do it? -
But nylon comes from oil, which came from plants.... And that came from plants.
-
Yeah, it does look pretty stiff Except when it comes to electric guitarists.
-
I remember nylon bedsheets and trousers in the 70s... yeuch. Synthetics are amazing now compared to then.

Lycra? What doesn't take the shape of your body?

In the mountaineering community they say "Cotton kills" because of it's propensity to hold on to moisture, which is the last thing you want next to your skin in the freezing cold. Personally, I know from night fishing in the Winter that cotton socks are useless for heat retention and cold, damp feet; any of the synthetics are better than that. The best materials for cold weather, if you research about it, are usually synthetic with the exception of down as a filler. Cotton is good in warm to hot environments when its moisture-retention qualities might benefit. The idea of 'natural is best' in all conditions is wrong. If anyone brings up "Well, sheep have wool" you have to factor in that, in the natural state, it is greasy and, hence, water-repellent; most wool is crap in the processed state as well in cold, damp conditions. I'll wear what is appropriate and efficient for the conditions I'm going in to.

Right. In isolation, i can't see how a singly expressed note makes much difference, regardless of the fundamental frequency, but simultaneously played notes not in tune will produce destructive interference and I can hear that to some extent. The degree of being out of tune with each other will vary with each individual. It probably has something to do with memory and if a played note doesn't match with the memory then a person with perfect pitch gets annoyed; sonic pedantry.

Yes, Oscar Wilde and Mark Twain come to mind who I think personify that attribute.

Yes, I don't see how an extreme level of sensitivity is an advantage since all it does is cause irritation for those afflicted with it and those that don't have it don't care; hardly a gift. It does nothing for musicality except that it is sure to be within the range of tolerance for being in-tune for those listening with normal hearing. I'm pretty deaf so my range of tolerance is pretty mahoosive!

"He that is only taught by himself has a fool for a master". I have taught myself quite a few subjects but I have always chosen some mentors who I decided they were where I wanted to be or, at least, in that direction: I chose Ansel Adams when I learned about photography and read all his works, for instance. Why beat a different, harder path only to get to the same place? Also, there's nothing worse to learning than ignorantly practicing the same mistakes repeatedly. Another saying that comes to mind: "A wise man learns from his mistakes. A clever man learns from the mistakes of others".
