  1. Indeed.
  2. 1. Both experience a 100km/h collision; measured from either frame 2.Car and wall experience a 50km/h collision; measured from either frame 3. Both cars experience a 50km/h collision; measured from either frame. It follows that 2 and 3 will experience the same degree of collision. Whichever frame you measure from you are the stationary observer.. what that means is, in scenario 1, for example, the car opposite the observer vehicle is measured travelling at the combined velocities of the two vehicles; velocities are additive in ron-relativistic physics
  3. Sometimes, ideas come up to solve a problem before they are actually confirmed. Mental masturbation can be very useful and insightful when done right. It's how many models are made. .
  4. if you read this link; http://www.gardensalive.com/product/rock-your-garden-with-rock-dust/you_bet_your_garden You need it to be mixed with soil that has a lot of microbes. It might benefit the microbes that benefits the plants. The idea does make sense but you've just got to make sure the conditions and materials are right to allow mineral availability. It mentions basalt dust as good and I've read granite dust is as well. Note the particle size it recommends as well; that wants to be your maximum.
  5. I would think the mineral content is important, or else, what's the point?
  6. This from Clinton comes across as egotistical narcissism; I think the next US election is definitely a case of picking the lesser of the evils. I don't trust either of them.
  7. Right. Thanks for the clarification.
  8. It's not just about surfaces then?
  9. That'll be like just sitting and watching the hour hand on a clock move. What about real everyday life; the same.
  10. That's what I mean:once you've done that everything just repeats with each generation. Same old story, different actors.
  11. Once you've been around the block a few times, why keep doing it?
  12. The issue really is that it serves no useful purpose in the ordinary lives of Joe and Josephine Public. The difference between specialist people, like yourself, and ordinary people is that one uses it for identification/distinction purposes to a therapeutic end, and the other uses it for discrimination and oppression; generally speaking. For social purposes it needs to be taken out of the everyday spoken language; it's a specialist word beyond the ken of the untrained..
  13. Oh no! I've been infected with an Americanism. I will write a hundred times 'doughnut' to purge myself.
  14. I've got a set Planckian tweezers somewhere to drop one. Yes, that makes sense.
  15. In the absence of wind and convection currents, they would be evenly distributed?
  16. In physics there is someone working out the maths to do it because in a parallel world with the right physics dunking coffee cups into donuts will be entirely plausible
  17. I wonder if it's something to do with the Clipboard.
  18. Add in the fact the child was 3, not 4, and she had three other children with her; he scampered off whilst attending to one of them. It was a Sod' Law day. If he was put on a lead with a choker chain and lead boots he'd have still probably done it; they'll find a way.
  19. Reinstall your browser. I use IE, Chrome and FF with no problems. Don't forget to reboot before reinstalling.
  20. Try reading a bit more closely.
  21. “Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”
  22. If that happens - quoting - click on More Reply Options then click on the icon button on the top right next to the eraser. Changing from one format to the other then back seems to do the trick
  23. Once more unto the needle. Feeling like a pin cushion.
