FTMM NEWS - The Faculty of Advanced and Multidisciplinary Technology (FTMM) of Airlangga University (UNAIR) recently organized the Sustainable Industrial Devices, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things (SIDAFIT) 2023. This event aimed to introduce the prospects of renewable energy and green technology in Indonesia through collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) Malaysia.
Prof. Dr. Retna Apsari, M.Si., the Vice Dean for III FTMM, explained that SIDAFIT 2023 involved 15 inbound students. They introduced the prospects of renewable energy and green technology in Indonesia, which were worked on by FTMM students collaborating with inbound students from UTP Malaysia on Wednesday (3/4/2023).
According to Retna, the realization of SIDAFIT 2022 has great potential for collaboration, whether in research, academics, or developing products or cutting-edge innovations together. In this regard, FTMM has several research groups ready to collaborate with participants, namely Human Factors and System Engineering, Intelligent Power and Control Engineering, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Technology, Environment and Food Technology, Digital Health-Computational Learning and Intelligent Systems, Mechatronics and Robotics, Data-Driven Decision Support System (DSS), and Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine.

Furthermore, equipped with advanced facilities, FTMM often schedules demonstrations directly to participants. This includes showcasing technologies such as spectral drones for agriculture mapping and monitoring, as well as aromatherapy mask filters developed by industrial engineering lecturers.

Moreover, FTMM has collaborated with the Floating Hospital Ksatria Unair (RSTKA) in building solar panels. This is to supply electricity to ships heading to Gili Iyang Island, Madura, and to develop electric bicycles and weather stations on Gili Iyang Island, Madura.
All these activities represent FTMM's initial steps in proving its quality nationally and internationally. This is because FTMM is still very young and has many experts ready to make extraordinary contributions to the nation.
