  1. I'm not from America so I haven't a clue on the thoughts of the average American but I do think that a great number of people now realise how important it is to implement clean energy sources. It's gained mass attention in the past few years and alot of people have already altered their lifestyles to promote a greener society. You would need a massive amount of human resources in order for this to work. Isn't America in its worst unemployment slump in years? Setting up factories in the parts worst affected could partially solve the problem.
  2. Apparantly Japanese reasearchers have near intact sperm they are experimenting with. That was one option of creating modern day mammoths in regards to hybrids. Make two compatible clones born naturally then begin to breed the elephant part out of them. I also read that they have successfully sequenced 70% of the mammoth genome and it won't take long before the other 30% is sequenced. I believe it will be done in time.
  3. I found this article at national geographic discussing the possiblities of cloning mammoths. I always thought that it was near impossible to clone something that has been dead for so long due to the breakdown of vital cloning components. Not to mention the funding needed to clone a mammoth which would be phenomenal. Anyone think it's a possiblity or have any thoughts? National Geographic Article Click here
  4. Haha true that. I guess body armour is the better option.
  5. Just to clear this up... are you saying that the virus kills the person then reanimates them? If this is what was implied then no it cannot happen. Once a person is dead that is it.
  6. Supposing that firearms do play a part in shaping humans biologically I would think that height would be the least important factor here. Don't you think that humans would eventually develop tougher skin or be able to heal their wounds faster?
  7. I shouldn't have said only threat. Climate change and the wheat rust pathogen go hand in hand it seems.
  8. There is no immediate need for humans to become taller or shorter in the remote future. If mass famine around the world were to happen next year, which would result in poorer nutrition, then you would probably begin to see a drop in regards to human height. Mass famine is unlikely though with the only threat coming from wheat leaf rust which spreads like wild fire and has the potential to deplete the worlds wheat sources. Fire arms play absolutely no part in human evolution and as for being as small as ants... that's just ridiculous.
