  1. Depending on how serious you are about animation, it'd be a wise move to purchase a video card specifically designed for a graphics-intensive machine (they're anywhere from 800$-2400$ US). Anyways, running two processors does speed up process execution time quite a bit. Once you get into heavy animations sitting around with a P2.4 or an A2600+ won't get you anywhere at a decent rate. When i had my dual mp 2000's on a tyan board, max4 seemed to run a lot faster than when i had it on my 3200+ (i overclock things, a wee bit). Anyways, thats just my expierence with the whole set up... i'd run over to tomshardware.com and check out benchmarks and what not for further backing.
  2. I believe its been running on my father's computer non-stop for about two years. I'm rather unsure of how many data packets thats been through and what not, but two years has to count for something. Although, i did have it running myself for quite a while, i just decided i needed that extra bandwith for other things.
  3. Irrelevant: You should've seen Faf ramble on and on about how Quixotica was the best scrambler ever, and everything in the world was inferior. I also find it funny his parents wouldn't give him money for a new computer because they said it wasn't important, and he got a new tennis racket(raquet) instead. Oh, and when he glined me for out-witting him over something rediculous. Memories... Anyways, you should give Michael a bit of credit for trying to propose a theory in a second or third, maybe even fourth language. I know its rather hard to comprehend the complexities of speaking a second language, as most Americans are intelligent enough to know nothing of their own. Its not so much of his text-book style of speaking Everclear... its just that you're used to materials that are meant to relate an idea to the equivalent of an inebriated cretin with down-syndrome(myself). While i'm at it, you should learn to use words in the proper context before you ostentate your superior english skills to a foreigner, as to not give those of a differing vernacular a migraine(which is almost EVERYONE else). :lame:
  4. Maybe Mr. T didn't sell enough cereal... thats a proof i suppose.
  5. That was probably the most hilarious thread i've read, but to support the first few... checking out "kinky sex makes the world go round" by the dead kennedys, and most works by nofx would be a great idea. (nofx - idiot son of an asshole : for all of you bush fanatics)
  6. When i become president of the world, i'll leave that as a legacy for my little mattaryans.
  7. Acid will take care of you - and you're 15, you don't have the money to support a love habit. Don't try to be the perfect gentleman type of nonsense, it just dosen't pay off. You'll be stuck waiting on one person, when you could be doing so much more with a vast selection. And if you're a masochist, be kind to yourself, just starting thinking. If you go for that cutting bullshit, i'd probably slam your face through a steel door, ... or nine... twenty. Yea. Anyways, the best of luck to you... just don't let one little point in your life drag you down, just enjoy what you can.
  8. At least you don't watch the Hitler channel incessantly like myself... i mean history channel. I must concur though, TLC is a great channel - i'm just not a fan of the breast augmentations and such... nipples should stay intact with the breast. Argh.
  9. And this is why i'm all for living in the Netherlands.
  10. I'm not sure, but i would assume that a notable attempt at figuring it out would be that they use current/past environment conditions and the creatures around during them, and anticipate how current species will adapt to future predicted conditions in the environment. That seems logical to me, but they may have used some other method... although i'm fairly sure its the same, or at least derived from the same concept, someone may choose to go into the intricate details (most likely to be faf with some sort of sound figures on adaptation/evolution/mutation rates) because i did not do so.
  11. Just curious here... was he referring to the special feature on pigme species? I know their was a part about the evolution of the elephant on a small island due to population growth... too much crowding occured and elephants were dying off due to a lack of food, but after a rather large amount of generations, the pigme elephants are coming along to replace the older multi-ton versions and survive off food lower to the ground and in places the larger animals can't get to. I just figured i'd throw that out there, being that it is a prime example of natural selection. I could've always explained the show wrong, but i highly doubt it - so i'm sure the discovery channel will be game for answering questions on their program. Best of luck to those who continue to go off on tangents in reference to the original thread topic.
