Your right, PC does have shitty RPGs. But I dont play them often so it really isnt a drawback. Half the PS2 titles are coming to PC anyway! VB is easy, and fun for a first language. But, if you still wanna continue learning C++ after, you have to be pretty devoted. Once you learn VB, you get too lazy to learn any other laguage. I garuntee it...Almost.

Hey, look what PC has to offer vs a console, all you can really do now is play games an watch a DVD. EVeryone these days has a DVD player, and if not theres prolly one on their comp. You can do virtually anything with a computer. Yeah.

I voted xp cuz its DAMN STABLE! I wanna say 98 too tho cuz it was amazing for its time. But now Xp is out it blows everything else outta the water. .NET is gunna be awesome too. Well, no matter what you do, C++ is where the moneys at. BUT when you learn VB6 you get too lazy to learn C++ so I warn you... Good luck with whatever you choose. But damn, C++ is hard.
