umm i think we do use fusion to produce energy----- catch it in a container? I'm sure somehow they could use the energy to run something (or is that what they already do?), but they wouldn't capture it, because thats not possible. Well maybe it would be if taken to extreme measures, but then it would not be practical, it doesn't have to contained to be absorbed and used or whatever.

i think i've said this before on some other thread, but the way i see it of coarse time exists. An object moves from point A to point B, it takes a certain amount of time for this change to occur. Time is an inevitable property of space. I agree with intelligence that some of our endevours in more complex forms of math can be incorrect, or at least not really applicable to real life (though i guess a lot is too, but the line can be fine) "Yet further proof that religious people cannot possibly comprehend anything in reality." perhaps Max was wrong in subtle attempts to insult you, but no more wrong than you. Proof cannont be prooven. Even science is about faith, so allow people to their own beliefs. I do not try to offer proof to how my religious beliefs are possible, thats ridiculous because that would not be faith. Now science is about a different thing of attempting to proove, but you must always take a leap of faith in choosing what data to use in your conclusions. So do as you do and do not preach, it does not work (is my advice). There is a scientific theory, i believe it is involved with the theory of chaos, some people have told me i was wrong, but i know i saw it in an article on the subject, it is : sometimes seeming random data is actually caused by a perfectly ordered function, i'm not sure if this could also be said that a seeming ordered function is actually random---- but anyhow i use this as another testament to reason why must question everything : perhaps all of our scientific beliefs are ignorant assumptions we make because there are factors about the functions that we cannot see detect or comprehend. It would be foolish to put complete faith in this as well, but i think we aught to accept it as a possibiltiy, and a reason not to preach anything as being proovable.

i know linux is an OS, i actually wanted to know exactly how it operates that makes it diff. from windows. Yeah i dont really want to cause damage, and if so i wouldn't do it to innocent people. I would be vigilante to kill all the the computer of the evil men in this world -
who are you people invading this site? There is not room in this town for you, we villagers will chase you out with tourches. Or maybe just i will. Or maybe not. Welcome to Science Forums . net

Linux, Open Source, Operating System
NavajoEverclear replied to NavajoEverclear's topic in Computer Science
i've been saying all the time i couldn't find that stuff on google, and thats what people kept telling me. When did i call you stupid------ i wont question you specifically but somebody here must have the time---- i mean how long can it take? I didn't ask anything that deep (i mean it could be but i only want some sufficient amount, not a book or anything). I'm guessing if your here, you may likely have too much time on your hands, or are idling time better used other ways---- thats basically why i'm ever here. In which case i think you guys have plenty of time, just my assuption though. -
in a vacuum, radio to gamma all go at the same speed? I did not know this. Thank you for enlightening me. How does it work like that though?

I remember seeing something about GUI on linux.org, i'll check it out, thanks. -
BUT visible light is slower than gamma, and radio is slower than everything----- its all the same radiation, just diff speed with dif frequency. Well i thought i had figured it out, but as i said, by the nonconfirmation of my conclusion it seems not. SO when you are saying the speed of light, which frequency is that? Visible light is NOT the fastest form of electromagnetic radiation (i'm sure you know this and may think me stupid by thinking i am implying that you are, but all i mean is to state in simplest terms possible what I mean, so you can answer it)
-
so then when they say nothing can exceed the speed of light, thats not exactly true, because the light they are talking about isn't even the fastest light there is. Is there even really a speed limit at all?

aha the most ancient thread is unearthed.

blob of doom? Why is it so doomish may i ask, for i cannot remember

oh man i am so going to download that off kazaa

i didn't know it used any fancy type of animation (well now i recall certain instances that probably used special technology, but not anything any more advanced than all the other shows, and probably less than most actually) Hohoho did anyone see the christmas episode? That was hilarious, i cant remember if i saw the whole thing myself, but i still remember how they turned santa clause into a monster and world dictator

great now we are communicating--- it is my thought that evolution being the creator of our capabilites (or our creator, who for wise reasons did not give us perfect capabilites(which belief of such possibility i know most of you think is a stupid one, so lets just forget about it and say evolution)) is the reason i asked the question. Under which case, light we see is physically as much light as any other part of the spectrum, whether visible to us or not. So when you are measuring light in a vacum, do you measure visible, infrared, microwave, gamma, radio--- whatever you call doesn't matter. Different frequencies have different speeds, and if they are all light, then which speed to you call 'the speed of light'? (i thought i had found this answer in that link, but it appears from the nonconfirmation of it in the last post, something is not fully comprehended) <This means that it is unrefracted by anything which would give the appearance of red, green or blue light.> That brings me to a secondary question, i want not to be answered until those former to it are addressed : is there color in different parts of the spectrum? What defines it as color since we cant optically detect it?

excuse some of my foolery, i have just found linux lessons, and others useful links---- but obviously yet not absorbed all this knowledge. So still if there is anyone who knows such things off the top of their head, i see no reason for you to not tell me. Or at least say---- iam sorry, its too complicated for your puny brain, OR i found this a useful resource in my training process, you would profit from trying this -

psshhhhh, if you dont have the info in your head just say so (but i'm sure somebody on this site does). I've already been to linux.org, i'll check it more thouroughly and report back. Don't worry i wont be stupid and use my hacking skills for evil to land myself in jail. I want to believe you that looking on google is as easy as it seems . . . . but in my experience, no, perhaps i don't have enough patience so i'll try some more. I still want my questions answered here though if anyone has answers (and i cant believe that there isn't someone here who does) -
So then, is our biological range the way it is because visual light is the most lightish light (by having more photons or whatever you said)--- but not all creatures see in the same range, like insects see infrared. Ok so you measure the speed, but i know that different frequencies of electromagnetism have different speed (slower with lower frequency) so which wave do you choose to measure as the speed of light and why? And if gamma often isn't really light, then what is it? Maybe i should look at that site link, i'll do that now . . . . . . . ohh so visible light is different because it is where the radiation behaves about as much like a particle as a wave also. Well i guess that answers my question.

atiny monkey, i just realized that your new avatar is grr. Rock on man. Why did they cancel Invader Zim anyway? (or did they just deny the american colony Zim priveldges?)

AWESOME movie. I am going to be a pirate when i grow up.

what if this decision is ultimately important in all of the rest of our lives . . . or maybe just mine, so i chose the one that is not there. I dont particulary like the eyes though---- thats as much as i'll decide now. Whoa! i tied the election, noone voted eyes.

thats pretty freakin hilarious. Yeah pretty sure he's not for real (but to be precise that depends on the definition of real, which cannot be universally established). Thanks for that site, i'll show it to all my friends. I found something.com somewhat dissappointing, but i'll show that to to all my friends to because it is funny

holy crap i dont remember typing any of that---- maybe its the MIB with their neurolizers JK <(do not know if such a measure of statement is nessesary, but you can never be sure if some warped person will take decide to take it seriously)

Hey i remember something about that--- what comes to my memory was brazil, or was it alaska, may i have no idea really. BUT i so remember reading about this, and maybe even seeing a picture. I wish i could remember where. In my faint memory of it i i thought there was something else extraordinary about it that made it a notable find, something that made me want to learn more and yet i have forgotten till now. I think i might have even read it on this site, either that or in the newspaper. Perhaps my memories have been modified by time (whatever faint it is), but i'm almost sure something is there on the subject. You probably wanted a more specific info on it though. WHAT if this squid is somehow connected to some dangerously freedom giving knowledge, and so some great secret reigning power has modified enough of it out of our memory that we dont care, but not cut enough to make us suspicious of the job. Who is trying to hide it from us? The aliens? the government? the

perhaps about cliche question, but the nature what exactly i want to know is somewhat more creative. Light is electromagnetic radiation right? So whether the frequency is visible to us or not, its all light. So radio is light, and gamma is light---- right? So then how do you determine the speed of light? Any other information on light would be nice, but those are my main concerns i guess
