  1. Well if the strength of graverty changes with size then surly there should be a simple equation to decide the gravertational constant at a given scale. As opposed to one for "big" things and one for "small" things.
  2. Why not make it "Constant \ Size" or Simmerlar?
  3. Nice analogy
  4. The metal some glasses are made of is bendy, once bent it recovers on its own, like a spring reguaurdles of how much it is bent. This metal is called metal with memory. If a car was made of metal with memory then during a car crash the car would crumple and stop the passengers and the drivers getting injured. Then it would auto-recover during the next coupple of seconds, just like the glasses?
  5. It wasn't ment to look like that. It would be a verry cool experment for somone to try, get it just right and it could look verry bizzare.
  6. Our teacher maneged to get the water to go at what seemed like about 40 degrees. She used some sort of white rod that was charged by rubbing it on some fabric. I figgured that if two of thease where used with enough accuracy the water could be encoreged to go allong almost horisontally. Water | | \ o o \___/\___/\ | |
  7. Diamagnetic and Superconductiveness are diffrent. Diamagnetic materals such as Prolyic (probbebly spelled diffrently than that) Graphite oppose (repell) all magnetic feilds regardless or polarity (north or southness). You should probbebly use neodymn magnets with it for sufficent effect. Superconducters require verry cold tempritures to use and are verry cool in both meanings of the word but verry wastefull on liquid nitrogen. Please brear in mind that onipoler magnets do not exsist for a reason, you can't just "get rid off" one pole.
  8. Lifter Pump?
  9. Of course you can cascade waterwheels for as long as you like so it would be better just to do that than use this and a conventional method.
  10. Be ok if it was one 60th of a second to get another flash. ahh ok, verry clever but not usefull then.
  11. So if one was made to geterate electrisity to power something usefull. How much power could it make and how big would that end up being? Equivelent to This or This or This or are we talking something more worthwile? We all have plenty of water running around in out homes in pipes.
  12. Thank you all for the info Email me YT2095 --> alan2here@gmail.com I would be verry intrested in this. I could probbebly cover the costs of components + prophet if you could make me a good one.
  13. Well, It picked up a lot of stuff both emediatly obvious (as to what it is) and otherwise, I would have wanted it for just the stuff in the demonstration even if that was all it could do. You'r explanation does make it seem rather less impressive than what I had imagined. Why would IR have no direct effect on a coil of wire (as it is an electromagnetic wave)? The tube thing was attached to the outside of the device, I guess the coil may be inside that?
  14. Nice picture on the third post Sysco.
  15. Thanks for the link Sysco Or more precisly to give yourself a false awakening which has the disadvantege that you end up somewhere that is verry simmerlar to you'r bedroom but can help you stay asleap if you are waking up. Its quite advanced there is lots of simpler more fun stuff to try like trying to step though mirrors or fly. I never lurned any of the reality check stuff, I just got lucid dreams though nightmares that don't happen now which is why I have lost the abbility somewhat.
  16. Apparently if you are about to wake up and you trigger them on purpose (one way is supposed to be to spin around verry fast) and pay attention to staying lucid it can stop you from actually walking up and you stay asleap longer, I should immagine it is hard to keep points of refrance while doing this but apparently it works. Another usefull thing is supposed to be to keep hold of something so you can feel in in your hand, as you actually wake up you can feal for the longest giving you a point where you can re-enter the dream if you can drift of to sleep again. I havn't been able to try any of thease things as I have not been verry lucid while asleap for verry long for quite some time.
  17. False awakenings can cause you to loose lucidity and can happen sevral times before you eventually do wake up. However they can be used usefully. Sorry to go so off topic but that stuff in the flask on Sysco's picture appears to be glowing verry impressivly.
  18. The threat title sucks but I couldn't really fit much explonation into that space. I once used a device that was a small handheld box with a speaker and a volume controll on the front it. The sound waves that came out of the speaker when it was turned on was the same the electromagnetic waves travevling though the device. The end result was that just by listening you could hear distant thunderstorms you couldn't hear with your ears as they where to far away, somone who had a watch with a magnetic pendulum inside it could be heard from about a half meter away, fuzz generated by TV sets which where meters away (and there where flat screen), sets of bleeps make by pressing buttons on TV remotes and much more other stuff I couldn't Identify. I am no longer in contact with the people who make them, they where paronormal invesigators and called the device a "ground meater". This was no obvious fake, they where quite genuine people and nobody was following me around pressing sound effect buttons or anything, it didn't seem possible that it was not real. It is supposed to work like a radio without a tuner, I take this to mean an arial attached to an amplifier and then a speaker, however there is the problem with this that doing that you could only hear sound at cirtain frequencies and would not be able to here the watch (1 time a second) or the inferred tv remote (300,000,000,000 to 300,000,000,000,000 times a second). I know you canshift frequencies on a computer but even with my fairly high powered PC this is only moderatly good and they cannot be shifted to millions of times diffren't than there starting frequancys and still sound ok. Instead of using an aerial it used what looked like a white tube that fluorescent lights use. The most facinating thing about it is the diffrence in what the diffrence in sound between all thease things seemed so great that with a bit of time you might be able to tell what something was from a distance (though things you couldn't see though) by listening to the sound. If it had been half the size and half the price I definatly would have bought it off him. My question is can anyone fill in the gaps as to how to make it or has anyone ever seen anything like this before?
  19. That mean it wasn't a dream and you had just done something embarrising or it took you ages after that to wake up? mbarone, what you need to do is decide on which of the two following statements is most relevent to you. A. Im a lucid dreamer intrested in the psychology of lucid dreaming and how it works in the brain. B. Im a lucid dreamer and I want to hear more peoples experances of lucid dreaming and lurn from them how to do it better. C. Im a spiritualist and belive all sorts on nonsencical more religious idea about ludid dreaming like remote viewing. If the answer is A then go here http://www.scienceforums.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=50 If the answer is B then go to thease places http://www.dreamviews.com/ http://www.lucidity.com/LucidDreamingFAQ2.html http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2204796176 http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2212210107 http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2208565137 If the answer is C then go elsewhere Also you may find this usefull http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dreaming
  20. Yes, meany autistic people would make verry bad psychologist's. In NLP (although im shure this is not only an NLP thing) the aim is to try and help remove blocks to effective and productive thought patterns and allow the person to think more openly, the person then tends to resolve there problems with far more ease. It's not about imposing any high level concepts like morality on the person (Like how a hypnotheropist should be able to help somone to give up smoking even if they knew nothing about what it is like to smoke). It seems like he should have become a mathamatican not a teacher, but I don't understand why anyone would really want to become a teacher despite several people I know who do want to become teachers, im shure he had his reasons but he does (based on what you say) seem verry badly suited to that job.
  21. I agree Indeed it does, Religion and Lies are loosing water in the world today, they may seem like a big problem but look though history, we have it good in this age. Disorder sounds so negative for something some verry intelligent and famous people have had, but I think you are probbebly right. Thanks
  22. ty Phi :¬) I can't express enough how total wrong I think that statement is in principal in whatever context it is used.
  23. As much as I laugh in the face of danger, building a lifter is a little too far, I know my limits.
  24. Think back to the last time you where rude or arrogant or insulting or condescending and try and work out why.
  25. Have you ever had an experance, maybe while listening to some music, or being around a cirtain person, playing a game, doing an activity or seeing a sight. Where you feal a fealing that is hard to describe, It's hard because it has no name, It's not like love or hate, like happy or sad or hot or cold. It's something as of yet unnamed. It's something you can maybe only experance in that one circomstance and you don't know if anyone else has ever expearanced it or if you will ever know what it is called. Maybe it happened in a dream and the circomstances cannot be recreated or it no longer happens as it faded a little each time you tried it. Maybe an index of names ought to be thought up for such emotions, if some sort of study was done where people decribed them and a list was compiled labeling simmerlar ones with a name for the emotion.
