I think I prefer my way, I can probbebly do it with just a coupple of AA battery's. It would be harder to get a power station to fit onto the board without making it too heavy.

Maybe they were comuinicating bewteen the rooms with sqeeks. I don't find it particually suprising that lurining a particular skill is inherited. It seems far more unlikely that they where telipathicly communicating with each other. -

Please be more clear, you seem to be using a pee-soup of words many of which it is clear you don't understand. If you are trying to sugest that you have achived apparently metaphysical effects such as remote viewing though meditation on antother method please just say so. All this has notining to do with Relativity, somone move this thread to the relgion forum. They will be happy to discuss this as a religion in the same way we will be happy to discuss it as a science. I know people are desprate to be lied to and with the fall of religion comes a rise in spiritulism, metaphysics, aura readings, remote healing, fairy energy and the such. I am pleased the evedently more educated west is still being sceptical. I was thinking neodymium magnets. Any yes, the electric motor would have to contain sevral matal compenents and batteries (also made of some metal). Why not just make the casings for the motor\battery's out of a diamagnetic materal and make the fans blades out of plastic? I can still think that crashing into someone else and getting stuck to them could be a problem, Im shure that slight issue could be overcome.

Actually you wouldn't need much underneeth you, the block dosn't have to do anything but hold the magnets on each of it's corners and bend a bit in the middle, alternitivle they could just be attached to you'r hands\feet\middle and the propultion be conected you you'r back, and the throttle could be controlled by a hand. I think a larger vehicle would have less point, this would feel more like flying. only you wouldn't leave the ground more than a meter or so.

Hmm. I didn't think of that. Maybe a block, fairly thin and big enough to lie on you'r front on. With two small fans in small tubes (one at each front corner). Which rotate and could be turned with you'r hands. Being a hover vehicle the track could contain small drops, jumps, concave and convex bits etc... and as long as you didn't land right onto one side or upside down or from too much of a hight it should always be a verry smooth ride.

I was wondering about using it to form a levatation rink. Like an Ice Rink but with 4 magnets in each shoe you have to wear and a large surface of a diamagnetic material underneeth you'r feet. Like ice skateing but without the friction. (alternitivly hover go-carts)

As far as can understand Bismuth has the bizzare effect of reflecting magnetic feilds. This makes it usefull in levetation experments. Mirrors that reflect light are verry thin, however sponges that are verry thin would not stop me injuring myself verry well if I fell onto one. All pictures of Bismuth I have seen show it as a block. My question is weather a thin layer of Bismuth will work or weather a thick block is needed to get the effect. The reason I see this as important is because Bismuth is rather (very) expensive, and a large yet very thin layer of anything could be quite cheap.

I suspect the MAC Croud would object to you trying to piginhole macs into being a type of linux. I use Windows XP, I know I suck. I use it because it runs the software I want to use not because it is a nice OS.

It's the Mandlebrot, Julia, Nova, Barnsley, Newton etc... type fractals, they are verry much related to numbers which have real and imaginary parts. This is verry evident even when just using fractal art software like Ultrafractal not just when delving into the maths.

Thank you for the optimisations and corections, they have been verry helpfull. I didn't know I was using pythagoras, i'll take it that it is more accurate now than how I was doing it. Im looking into FreeBasic now, If I wasn't going to be lurning BlueJ (Java) and "VB 2005" next turm in college having just lurned FPC (pascell) this turm I would defenatly be downloading it.

Sorry I forgot to say that the code starting after the first green bit and ending at the end should be triggered once every frame My code works verry well. Maybe it just does it in a diffrent way to yours, I am trying to replicate you'rs now, please try and replicate mine and you will see. I am using VB 6.0 btw One diffrence is that I am drawing using a command that draws onto the window and using two variable arrays x(planet number) and y(planey number), you are using an object that has .x and .y built into it already. Is LBound the name of an array or a command? What the heck is .Xvec, is it x cordatate vector? If it means vector then are vectors a data structure e.g 'an array' or a matmatical teqneek e.g 'modulo'? Why do you have -= and +=? is this a languege spacific like how 'c' used ++ to increment a variable. We both are finding the difrence between each planet to every other planet by taking one away from the other You are doing it in this line Dist_X = body_x(i) - body_x(i2) Dist_Y = body_y(i) - body_y(i2) my FX and FY are force on X cordanate and force on Y cordanate for example If whitin the main loop of the program I put this fx(n) = fx(n) * 0.9 fy(n) = fy(n) * 0.9 Then it would act as friction slowing everything down and causing all the masses to spiral into one another. fx(n) = fx(n) + 0.01 speeds up planet n by 1 in the x (across) direction. The program basicly finds the difrence between each planet and each other planet, simerly to your's, your's seems to use a lot less code which is good and mine works out (because of how it does it) the distance as if planets can only be an integer value of pixels appart from each other. You'rs also seems to turn into a spinning disk quite quickly and contains planets of diffrent weights and sizes, wheras mine will become more messy and cayotic if large numbers of planets are started at random positions and velocitys and in mine all planets weigh and are the same size and drawn as single points. Vista is more secure than XP, esspecally the 64 bit eddition. IE7 on XP vs Firefox 2 on XP is a fair comparison.

If I was to write a computer program to simulate graverty of spherical masses (like planets) over time I would do it like this. This is probbebly a massive oversimplifacation but it works and is really fast. This is in 2D but it could be expanded into 3 dimentions with a bit more code. IE addons cost money and IE gives you spyware and virus and It is bulkware and the addons suck and It is fetureless and incecure and renders website's pages badly and is slow and closed source and you are dameging the internet by being so gullable as to use it. Please dont post examples of a few places where it is not those things coz as a whole it is. We all know what the right thing to do is http://www.mozilla.com/en/firefox/ Firefox dos'nt need to try and be like IE, it has been so sucsessfull because it is not like IE.
