  1. In that case we must have one Cheers, Ryan Jones
  2. On this, we should have a staff poll too. Anyone agree? Cheers, Ryan Jones
  3. http://standards.spiralmindsinc.com/Personal/Images/Fractals/CosmicString.png Anoher Newton, looks like a cosmic dagger, or a cosmic string... Cheers, Ryan Jones
  4. Here is a prety interesting one I think: The total combined weight of the worlds ant population is heavier than the weight of the human population. Cheers, Ryan Jones
  5. I'll see if I can find some colourful ones, rightnow I'm limited to the good oes I uploaded here: http://standards.spiralmindsinc.com/Personal/Images/Fractals/ I'll see if I can make some more later today Cheers, Ryan Jones

  7. Unite as one. We must draw the line somewhere... the persecution must end because thats what it is. They should concentrate on the real issues to health such as global warming, smoking, alcoholism... Cheers, Ryan Jones
  8. Fractals are my current topic of interest so I decided to post another thread about then but this time ets see if we can have some fun. Here is how it works, someone posts a link and then we debate what it looks most like. these don't have to be your ow images but can be from the inernet or what ever you like. So I'll start, this looks like 3 DNA strings joining into one. Agree / disagre? Cheers, Ryan Jones
  9. Yup, fractals apprear everywhere. here are a fe more (thanks Wikipdia) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Glue1_800x600.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Square1.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Microwaved-DVD.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Fractal_Broccoli.jpg As we have said found everywhere The idea of a self-crystalising fractal sounds pretty annoying as fractals are based of unpredictable chaeoic systems... Cheers, Ryan Jones
  10. It does. Find a nice flat paved concrete area and try it, the effect is more pronounced when comparing steel and rubber though Cheers, Ryan Jones
  11. Near the equator about 600KM/h I believe... pretty fast Cheers, Ryan Jones
  12. I'd have to say gunshots and people flying back miles after being hit by a bullet... it just does not happen And lets not forget the explosive petrol idea, the shooting a petrol tank makes the car explode etc. Cheers, Ryan Jones
  13. Pretty damn cool. If I get a clear night up here will get my telescope out and have a look Cheers, Ryan Jones
  14. OK honestly I can't think of a fratal I don't like... Fractals are just amazing things... snowflakes are nice too Cheers, Ryan Jones
  15. Heres another one A ball of glass will bounce higher than a ball of rubber on a flat surface. A ball of solid steel will bounce higher than one made entirely of glass. Cheers, Ryan Jones
  16. Wha do you mean by that? Tis is perfectly valid: [ce]Na2O[/ce]. Cheers, Ryan Jones
  17. True, the oly savfe thing to do with that much power right now is to earth it - you can't even run it directly int the power grid! Cheers, Ryan Jones
  18. Come on people let the votes fly! One of the most fascinating things in mathematics to me, fractals. The real question is what set are your favourite? If you like link to any examples on the net or post your own, its all good Here is an example of my favourite made with Ultra Fractal: http://standards.spiralmindsinc.com/Personal/Images/fav.png Cheers, Ryan Jones

    Coldest life?

I'm impressed. Lets find out how they do it and get radiation protection for people The same thing that helps block this radiation could be the cure for cancer they think - incorrect replication would be no more Cheers, Ryan Jones

    Coldest life?

I did not know stasis was possible for such a long time. Thought muslcles and the brain its self detriorate aftrer prelonged periods of hibernation. Also, if you want hard then cockroaches are tough things too... they can survive radiation 100 ties the human fatal dose. They have a enzyme (Orgroup thereof) that makes DNA repare more effective and faste... Cheers, Ryan Jones
