  2. HeHeHe - a black hole on Earth! That would be interesting, would then be easy to prove they exist atleast. The nearest black hole is known to be about 1,600 light years from Earth (Source) so I really don't think there is one here on Earth... I think we'd have noticed Also, I don't think there is anything special about the Bermuda Triangle other than some intense magnetic flux produced from the minerals in the sea bed...   7. Well, I'm not shure it counts because its not technically composed of atoms nor is it a mixture of anythig but a neutron soup. Its super compressed nature would make it very hard though and yes very dense and heavy! (A mountain per teaspoon?) Judges - should it be allowed?! Cheers, Ryan Jones

    Post them up here! Maybe if I get some spare time I could write an extension for Firefox that would didsplay a 404 message when trying to access those sites.   15. Frankly I don't think you could, the HTTPS connection that is used for most bank accounts is used to prevent exactly this. If you can do this then its a serious flaw... It could allow a hacker to do some pretty nasty things given the right circumstances! Anyway, if you can - don't. Sending information that should be secure accross an unsecured connection is just asking for trouble, take Daves advice and don't even try it Cheers, Ryan Jones

  17. Well, those types of images are quite interesting. its quite simple, called a one way door - it allows information from the browser to be sent back but not other information. If you use PHP you have some powerful functions at your disposal, a friend and I recently finished a quick project that turns images to ASCII art here: http://www.penagate.spiralmindsinc.com/misc/image-upload.php The function was quite simple read the x and y direction, grab the pixel colour and then assign that through CSS. function ASCII($File) { $Width = imagesx($File); $Height = imagesy($File); $RetVal = ''; for ($i = 0; $i < $Height; $i++) { for ($j = 0; $j < $Width; $j++) { $RGB = imagecolorsforindex($File, imagecolorat($File, $j, $i)); $HexVal = sprintf('%02X%02X%02X', $RGB['red'], $RGB['green'], $RGB['blue']); $RetVal .= '<span style="color: #' . $HexVal . "\n"; } return $RetVal; } Where the parameter is recieved from either: imagecreatefrompng(File Name Here); imagecreatefromgif(File Name Here); or... imagecreatefromjpg(File Name Here); Depending on the file type of the file too be generated. As with the generator above, the dynamic images are usually done with PHP although CGI can be used with a little more work As for exactly how the PHP functions themselves work with images, I'm still researching in the source code Cheers, Ryan Jones

    Hmm... an interesting question. Seeing as spam is advertisments hit them where it hurts - their sites. Take spam links add them to a database and then use a content filter too block the sites. Seeing as their spam is designed to make people go to their site this could hurt them most of all. I also like the idea of sending it back to the source, this could cause their mail server to crash if its all done at once Cheers, Ryan Jones
  19. I believe its very dense, should make a good radiation blocker. As for anything indestructable - I'd like to see something survive the gravitatioal forces inside a black hole... seeing as everything gets destroyed there nothing can be indestructable! As for a bunker, dig a deep hole in a mountain - unless they deploy one of those bunker busting nukes... they focus the blast downward and so it is designed to ruin defences. These excluded just make shure you have lots of radiation shielding and also account for that which will be inevitably vaporised and you'll be fine I'd say not but maybe it could be formed in a ring... I'm not shure it has ever been tried so... bending is out of the question though, it would just shatter. Cheers, Ryan Jones
  20. I hear you can theoretically pass any ammount of voltage through yourself provided the current is low enough... I'm shure I read some guy did it with 1,000,000V before now. Wonder how many amps are going through those arcs... probably more than enough to kill you it takes, what, 40mA at the heart to kill you? Cheers, Ryan Jones
