Have you tried a program called resource hacker, I'm not shure if it will work but it may Cheers, Ryan Jones

No problem, it seems that due to the reactivity of Sodium compared with most other elements its hard to extract without Electrolysis to do so. infact it seems its cheaper to just but the stuff Cheers, Ryan Jones

Interesting woelen - never knew that one Doesn't ammonium fluoride form a stable solution in ice on that note :S I also read that the Noble gases cna do the same as you have described with water in the form of ice Cheers, Ryan Jones

I suck at image design so I'll let you guys carry on - I see soemone picked up on the idea though - woohoo, someone noticed my post BTW, Dak - nice design! Cheers, Ryan Jones

Yup, is quite easy too get hold of. http://www.smart-elements.com/index.php?element=Na&arg=show Or just search around E-bay for a while A good description of how they extract Sodium cna be found here: http://www.webelements.com/webelements/elements/text/Na/key.html Or here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium Cheers, Ryan Jones

Doesn't Mercury form "compounds" with all of the noble gases? Although I say "compounds" they are thought to only be held together by the weak intermolecular van der walls forces and so do not really could as compounds I guess. Interesting how Helium should probably be called Helion though Cheers, Ryan Jones

Hmm... that is quite expensive. Have a look at this, it may help you Cheers, Ryan Jones

Yea, true - I hate Windows XP. Linux is much better in all ways - no CD protection crap that slows it down for one. Linux is much better, my school is supposed to be converting too it soon. Cheers, Ryan Jones

Do a search of the forums - car batteries should help you there Cheers, Ryan Jones

Yup, and the hot moltern iron that coudl be sprayed everywhere I still think the best method would be too create a fire under it then after a few hours throw water all over it, that will make it crack Cheers, Ryan Jones

I agree with ecoli, its through things like hormones that the cell knows what it is supposed to do and what its going too need to do. You should also remember that intelligence seems to be an emergant property, one cell may not seem intelligent but then again when you combine trillions of them they become more than the sum of their parts so too speak Cheers, Ryan Jones

Its only possible for a few seconds, in this time the radiation can't do much. You can be assured that the chaimber in which they do these tests, it looks like a doughnut!, is well insulated to make sure no heat escapes Cheers, Ryan Jones

I wonder if a large thermite reaction could provide a potential heat source enough to shatter or crack the rock (via heat differential)... I've done it with a paving slad out my garden but never tried it with a rock... Cheers, Ryan Jones

Hi there everyone! I was bored today so I threw together a little script that calculates the Mr of any compound, it can be found here: http://www.allscience.spiralmindsinc.com/Testing/ChemCalc.php It works with compound formats: H2O 2H2O Hg(NO3)2 Hg(NO3)2.2H2O The last one is still 50/50 - I'm not shure if it works correctly yet. Or any combination of the above, please try it out and any feedback is welcome (Note, I threw this together in about half an hour so it probably has bugs ) Cheers, Ryan Jones

Could be but what are the odds of that starting just after you started taking medicine? There are lots of causes like YT said, it could be any one of them Cheers, Ryan Jones

Yes it is Cheers, Ryan Jones

I had to have one as part of a test thing so I could use a computer in my exams because I can't write correctly. That brings somethign to mind, why is it clever people normally have bad handwriting, My biology teacher has an IQ of 175 and his writing is real bad too! For the record mine was actually scored at 165 and I have had anything from 192 - 134 in online ones which are less than reliable, the correct one is probably the one I had in school... I agree with Prof.Marvel though, we first need a godo definition of intelligence befoere it has any meaning and even then there are different types of intelligence each with its own strong and weak points. Cheers, Ryan Jones

Sounds like your right, looks like a side effect of the medication. Report it too the makers and see if they have heared of something simmilar If not you may get a reward for reporting it. Does the medication use any horemone repressants? If it does than this coudl eb the cuase. Cheers, Ryan Jones

Maybe its the air expanding fast in the extreme heat? Cheers, Ryan Jones

Its an idea for a competition, see who can design the best christmas style banner Cheers, Ryan Jones

Loos sweet dave, do you think there will be any chemistry sub-forums added? Cheers, Ryan Jones
-
Looks good Dave No chemistry sections though Oh... you said they were to eb decided, I remember now Cheers, Ryan Jones

Goodfind sounds interesting! I feel that it is still more environmental than anything else, if you teach a child well it can increase their IQ, eating the correct ammount of Omega 3 seems to increase the IQ for a short period of time. Also, IQ seems to increase with age as the person has more knowledge to use for their answeres, bigger IQ due to increased knowledge. I wodner if this gene has something to do with disability because it seems that geniuoses mosly have something wrong with them... an odd co-incidence, could it be linked to this gene I wonder? Cheers, Ryan Jones

True, I've obly ever used Java for a few small tasks - its simmilar to PHP but in some cases as you have said it is a lot different Cheers, Ryan Jones
