Maybe I'm Arab. Maybe I'm not. I'm just a mind on my side of a computer screen. Are you a Gypsy? A wandering Nomad through life. I like Gypsies. They come in all colors. Just aman

Intelligence is a lot more than 1/2+1/2. It is greater than the sum of it's parts. Intelligent people learn as much as they can and try to be as logical as they can be. They reach with open minds and apply their abilities to the best of their capabilities. They try to make right decisions. Just aman

I usually smell a lot of sulfer:eek: On STar Trek, Kirk once gathered sulfer, potassium nitrate, and coal to grind together to make crude gunpowder. Would that work? Just aman

I saw an experiment where a pellet was fired at incredible speed into a pile of dirt. There was a glasslike residue after impact. It's just another way of melting dirt. Just aman

I'm an old fart so you will also find wisdom here. Glad to meet you. Just aman

I'm working constantly through all sorts of problems with XP as I add additional software. It sucks until I figure it out. Just aman:rolleyes:

Many of the European countries don't treat their sewage and the water systems are no where near the scrutiny and protection of the US. The US is making small strides in cleaning up the water. Next will be the air and I hope along with you Zarkov that it's not to late. Just aman

  I told Zarkov to buy a parka. Just aman

A Nobel Prize was awarded in 1996 because a scientist cooled a gas to millionths of a degree above 0 Kelvin. The atomic structure of the elemental gas collapsed into a super molecule. They never said if it returned to normal upon adding energy. They theorized it would have collapsed farther if they could have cooled it more. If I cooled a desk to 0 Kelvin and it collapsed into a point. Then I reheated it would I have a desk? Just for thought. Just aman

There's a lot to digest. Thanks for the posts. As far as sonoluminescence, I've read a lot of controversial reports since everything new develops it's critics and some say the temperature and energy effect is a dead end. I personnaly agree with you that this is a direction to explore. I guess we'll see pretty soon. I think the main problem will be generating the frequencies that will work. Some may be beyond our capabilities. Our universe is made up of crude parts to be sharp tools at this level. Just aman

Welcome Jvanhalderen. You'll find some good input here. I'm old but I'm wise. If you have any extra computers. Let em crank SETI. Look for Celticskyhawks posts to find out how. He's sharp too. Fafalone and Radical E. are great with math and Blike is great with everything. You'll have fun here cus there's a lot of other great people and they tell you straight about your ideas. Don't mind Kennel cus his bark is worse than his bite. :inf:Just aman :inf:

Thanks Radical E. That brings up the question of, who would have a lab equipped to investigate these ideas? I wish I did. Rockwell closed off my spigot when the defense industry went into the dumpster back in the 80's. Do you have access to a lab over there quantumdream, or are you applying for a grant? Just aman.

I loved to watch TV as a kid. I loved Mr. Spocks logic and Klingon Honor. I loved Kwai Changs simple explanations to everything. They seemed to make a lot more sense than the dogma preached in churches but not practiced at home. I got lost in Sci-Fi that preached hope. It's stuff I live by but I'm not a fanatic. Practice moderation in all your excesses. Just "Be Good" (ET) Just aman

The world needs people with character. We need a hundred acting in a crisis rather than one and ninty nine following. We weed out the special "ones" in certain occupations like ER and FD and PD but all citizens need to have this character. Just aman

There was a posting that the Antarctic is growing while the Arctic gets smaller. I think you better watch out and buy some warm clothes down there Zarkov. :toilet: Just aman:cool2:

I see some good math and a reasonable "proposition". It's worth investigation. I don't mind exploring ideas. I didn't see you having a question but a statement of balderdash. Sometimes that adds validity to an idea. Critisism from the establishment. Back to the posting. Thanks quantumdream. I was wondering if we could get a mass to resonate enough to shift out of phase without destroying it. It would take a great deal of energy. Maybe the surface of a craft that was covered in an alloy that could withstand the resonance and not destroy the interior. Just for thought. Just aman

Hey CSH. You work to hard. Life is supposed to be fun, but learning and teaching is fun I guess. Take a vacation Someplace that's having a revolution. Builds character. Just aman

Do you think tapping into this "harmonic" expansion would make C+ travel possible? Maybe that was what Tesla was imagining. Just aman

That suggests there is no unified field theory possible if gravity "is always" and E-M or QM can do independant and irrelevant things. I would like to believe there is some kind of fundamental relationship. We'll figure it out. Just aman

I like the idea of almost living forever. It's an incredible and wonderful postulation you present and now I have to crunch it in my head. It's almost a parodox, almost. All my Quarks are moving near the speed of light. Just aman

There's a lot to digest. It might be a little while to get back to you on this one. Thanks for the effort. Just aman

Article: Did the Universe Have a Beginning?
aman replied to jvanhalderen's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
We are starting to get repeatable results from QM and GR that don't seem to make sense but are redefining our existance. The speed of light anomoly. A Nobel prize was awarded for taking a gas to millionths of a degree above 0 Kelvin in 1996 and the atoms lost there energy to stay in a matrix and collapsed into a super atom. We are on the threshold and there is enough information out there being discovered every day for someone to formulate a valid theory. Keep reading and be the one to do it. Post it here so I can say I knew that person. Just aman:cool2: -
First I ought to learn to spell. Thanks for being patient Maybe all the rains will wash that damned brown cloud of crap out of the sky over Asia. It looks like God looked down and saw what was going on and wiped his butt with their sky. The same with Los Angeles back in the '60s and '70s. Things could be so much better with a few more good people. Maybe a lot more. The pollution is from too many people. Just aman

There's five billion people on the Asian continent.:help:    :toilet: It doesn't look good for the short term future of these people. Just aman
