  1. I must'a been spelling my accent. Not very professional.

I could'a said it takes a while to learn Earth Languages.:cool2:

    Maybe I haven't got enough sleep.:uhh:

But the troubles we got now are the only regret I got about gettin old.:toilet:

You guys give em hell cus it might be a civilian assisted war in the future. They might bring it here. Learn to sleep light.

Our true nature is everyone is a scientist and a soldier deep inside. Just my ramblin thoughts.

  2. It's easy to be swayed by our early teachings of religious dogma but I am glad to see so many well thought through reasoned arguments.

I don't think we can really learn anything and advance in our humanity in a dungeon body being tortured, and from which there is no escape. Seems less than pointless. Open the cell.

  3. Just feed your dog Alpo out of the can. One of the big cans.

Then all you have to do is wait behind him with a baggie.

    It'll kill a rat in a sewer.

I wrote a letter to Alpo that their canned dog food almost killed me and my dog. Two weeks later I got a nice letter and a coupon for a case of Alpo. Do you think Alpo is part of the al-kada?

Your equation should be easy to manufacture but I think my way will make em suffer as they go.

  4. Discover Magazine is fun. I'd recommend it

From Your picture I can see way you want to change your appearance. If not, go to San Francisco. I saw a girl there that looks just like you.

    I agree with Radical E.

Your structure is already done and the virus you mentioned can only add to the structure. Make it normal or make it a little better.

It can't remove tissue that is already there without serious consequences. This is just my opinion.:cool2:

Keep crankin out the inspirations. This is the best place to discuss them.

  5. It would be true that everything at a certain radius to a black hole would fall at a constant rate but some things falling into the black hole would also have near tangent velocities besides. Some matter would have a large velocity a little tangent but mostly straight into the black hole.

I feel you might be ripped to shreds by passing matter before you ever reached the event horizon. A constant abrasive cloud continualy collapsing. Maybe I'm wrong. Just for thought.

  6. I've been blessed with only seen peaceful passings or painful but fighting to beat Mr. Death till the end. I don't begrudge anybody who reaches the point in a terminal situation the right to pass with dignity. Life is moving forward. If the person can't move forward but only backward and is in pain I think ist's OK.

Is it right to keep a person alive for the comfort of the living? Some of us don't want to say goodbye. Do family members actually move forward because the person remains alive?

Is it a "sin" due to our particular religious beliefs?

    It's a tough question.

  7. These sleep studies are done mostly in labratories on members of the Simpson and Bunker families and the cas to Cheers. The chemical reactions they see are useful andcommon to us all but have they ever measured a soldier at war. I think some more complex things go on then the artifical stresses measured in the labs. You don't wake quickly from a deep sleep at the snap of a twig. In survival situations sleep goes into a whole different dimension than anybody who has not been there can imagine.

Two hours of light sleep is very refreshing. The closest I can imagine is the way a guard dog sleeps. It's like our minds go back to depend on genes that aren't normally expressed.

    Just for thought.

God bless our soldiers all over the world

  8. What proves an idea is scientific better than repeatable tests?

Devise a test for psuedoscience and have it repeatable, preferably on Earth. Then it will be taken serious.

A lot of anamolies in the macrocosom make theorists constantly change the way they think. Each new discovery messes things up. Fertile ground for new ideas.

Propose a way to test your idea once you have one.:slaphead:

Then get back to real science.

    1000 posts:rolleyes:

  9. I got to be part of new program in 1962 at Walt Disney Elementary in Anaheim,CA. called GOAL, Guiding Our Able Learners. It took students over 140 IQ's and special classed them. The problem was it disappeared when we went into junior high. From then on surviving was just as important as learning.

I'm glad that some of you kids have an opportunity to get the learning at the level your able to take it. I wish it was available to more and I'll do what I can around here to pushing it.

Enjoy learning always. If ever I get a little down (rarely) I go learn something. The best cure.

  10. I'll raise the money just as soon as I can find somebody that buys aluminum cans. Get ready to travel. You ever hitchiked on an airport runway? I told you it was gonna be an adventure.

    I'm gonna bring my dogs.

  11. Except for a few very exceptional children, studies I've seen on PBS have shown that most very young children will lie because of a number of incentives. The same incentives can also make them tell the truth. They blindly follow the incentive.

Almost all individuals reach a conscious point where both positive and negative incentives become apparent and then the choice is finally a conscious choice. From there on, it is testimony to the character of the individual whether the decision to lie or be truthfull happens.

I do believe some pathological liars may not be responsible but just might be sick.

  12. The only thing we would ever observe on the Earth would be the other side of the moon at times and at some point a good light show as ejecta left the surface of the moon and hit our atmosphere. It might mess with astrologers heads in their calculations but other than public opinion we wouldn't notice a change.

Why I was mentioning this is because someday we may have to divert large extraterestrial masses to keep Earth safe. Maybe we could attach a large solar sail hang glider to an asteroid and point it away from us. We just need to catch it far enough away.

I love hang gliding except that time I broke my leg.

Come up with a design and maybe they'll let you go along and set it up.:bravo: Be a young hero:bravo:

  13. At some point the mirrors might reflect towards the Earth. It could get pretty bright at that point. Maybe settle for 90% reflection. Over eons I think the moon might self destruct but I guess I'll have to do the math to see if it will be before the solar system ends.

Another question though. What spins the black and white tabs in the globes when they are balanced on a pin on those old toys that look like lightbulbs? I don't know how many of you have seen them but as a kid we placed them in the sun and they really cranked. Or am I just showing my age?

  14. A different approach. If I was on the moons equater and started walking west with a whole bunch of helpers from the ghetto. We sprayed white paint from spray cans on every surface facing us all the way around the moon back to our starting point. Then we turned around and walked east spraying the opposite side of every surfac black with spray cans until we reached our starting point again.

Would we effect the spin of the moon over time?

    Just curious.

  15. What light hits your retina travels by nerves five inches to the back of your brain at 400ft/sec. That means you don't see it until 1/960thsec after the photons hit you. We are always looking at the past by an incredibly large measurement by quantum scales.

We aren't stuck behind in time though because our minds can extrapolate what we expect to see in the future and hope it agrees with what really happens. We aren't very efficient machines. Our hearing is about two inches and a delay of 1/2400thsec until it is processed.

Maybe if we could get our brains to operate at superconductive speeds, we could see the nature of time, in real time.:flame:

    Just for thought

  16. One of the examples you were citing, dragoon, assumed that time was sequential slices not being completely erased as they pass, creating paradoxes. If time is incrementaly changing slices then the present slice must vanish before the next is expressed.

If time flows then that opens up the big microcosom can of worms where there is an infinite amount of dividable time in a fluid second. We can't even divide a second physically beyond atomic vibrations. We can't really even get our foot in the door to know what is going on smaller/faster than that.

    Just for thought

  17. If you really want to astral project though it takes a lot of discipline and I think a lot more than just the instructions above.

Read Carlos Casteneda, Paramahansa Yoagananda, and others while you purify your body and your mind. :worship:

Let me know how it turns out cus I ain't gonna do it.

I'm too busy:cool: And too old

    Just aman:rolleyes:

  18. I was just curious if it would be possible to construct solar sails at the moons equater to increase the moons spin to near the moons escape velocity. It would make mining a lot easier. After all the moon is just one big spaceship up there relative to us. Landing at the poles would be simple and mining ores could be moved to the equater and pushed off the surface to waiting nets for transport. No problems launching bulk ores

Not that we'd ever do it. I was just wondering if it was feasable.

  19. Can you tell me whats on the north wall of my porch bedroom? Then I'll believe it works. I believe it can be done but only with discipline because,

    :bs: I'm a Kung Fu,Master (I've seen a lot of episodes):bs:

I do it all the time in fact I can see your can of soda right now.

    Just aman:D
