  1. well i only posed this question because me and my brother and sister got into this argument about the laws of physics because after reading one of his books (he's working on his masters in Theoretical physics and she's a biologist, i got the short end of the brains department, i'm a struggling writer lol) i got this amazing idea for travelling throguh interstellar space, i told him and he laughed and told me not to quit my day job(arrogant SOB lol) and i told him, you're just sayin that cause you live by your silly rules and he laughed again and said so do i. But that's why i posed the question. Oh and if any of you want ot hear my thoughts on interstellar travel i'll be glad to share them, maybe you can tell me if it's possible.
  2. to the guy who started this thread, you should accept the fact that these days most women will be experienced, even by the child molesting age you mentioned(which is pretty weird btw..) Besides take it from me, you want a girl with a little bit of experience, because then she'll have a better chance of doing those "fun" things that other girls might not want to do. and also go to another forum, because you should only hook up with stupid easily manipulated girls until you're ready to get into a serious relationship or get married.
  3. Yes, but aren't the only way to advance is to look past them? I hear so many people say,"ohh currently our level of understanding is not high enough to solve x problem, or whatever, well my poit is, how can you ever sovle it if you are going to be binded by those very laws that are limiting you?
  4. i merely asked because it seems very limiting when you try to figure things out, but have to constantly go back to all these rules and laws of physics. I am wondering, if their are any physicists out their who can answer my question? How can you really try and sovle anything if you can't violate the laws of physics and create new ones? I mean has anyone just sat down and said, "maybe you can go faster than light and i'm going to prove how?" sometihng like that.
  5. Wait a minute, i thought that quantum tunneling was faster than light? If it's true then shouldn't we stop sayign that traveling faster than light is impossible?
  6. now, i am confused, i thought light was the ultimate measurment of speed, and nothing could go faster than light period? I read an article on newscientist . com where some physists slowed down a beam of light to 30 mph. Would that mean that if i drove my car and raced the beam of light i could not accelerate up to 30mph?
  7. well, he said that things would not happen in "order". for instance you would eat soup, and instead of it aleady being cooked it would cook in your stomach, or instead of lgiht travelling into your eyes it would travel away basically things happen in reverse. Or, cake batter could unmake itself into its base components.
  8. i listened to a discussion Michio Kaku was giving and he talked about a region of space where causality was reversed, where soup would boil in your stomach etc. He said it all had to do with something called the Arrow of time, and he said that in some regions of spce the arrow of time would be reversed. Can anyone elaborate on this?
  9. i always thought our universe floated on a membrane in some higher dimension that we do not have access to? Isn't that true? and also wasn't the big bang merely a result of our membrane colliding with another in higher dimensional space? Just my two cents.
