what i dont like about infinity is that infinity plus one is still infinity. so how can the new infinity be equal to the old infinity if one has been added? (sorry if these seems pathetic and childish to some other more experience mathematian, im 17, and my mind is just curious) moreover, i do think that this thread deals with physics too because i thought about it in a physics state of mind also. is the universe infinate? from basic GCSe knowledge (I nolonger study at A Level Physics) i rememebr that the universe is infinate and is always expanding. i therefore ask that how can something which have no end increase in size. for it is the largest possible value. please excuse me if all this nonsense is due to lack of knowledge.

No. The lips have many sensual nerves which will stimulate the brain. I think it is something that has become inheritied and made normal among people because of what it does, and it's popularity.

I want to see a remake of Earthbound. I've been ranting on to people about this for years.

"No problem: Google hands those out like free-buffet coupons on the Las Vegas strip, and you can find one by simply Googling for "gmail invite" or something similar." I was reading up on Gmail but this free food thing got me more. Is Las Vegas really like that? Do they give out free-buffet coupons on the strip?

So i'm hosting my own website at freewebs.com But the thing is i can't mass download all of my files. I recently found some of my CD-RWs I've had in this CD tower. Now I'm jittery to put all the webdesign stuff I have onto them. But I can't mass download everything from freewebs cause they don't allow that. I'd have to individually download each thing. Isn't there something called weasel or something that looks through the whole site directory and down to my subfolder's files and let's me download all the files? I tried googling weasle but it's not what i was looking for. Webgrab seems interesting but I want all the pages and files listed. YAY! NEVERMIND! Open-source pwns all: http://www.httrack.com/

Either cockroaches or ants. I was talking to my dad and he said ants would be the dominate ones. They have the most experience with combat. Their structure of fighting is like humans with geurilla warfare and finding out how many enemies they have ahead of them. Thier combat skills are intelligent.

Tetrodotoxin ga suki desu. It's 1200 more deadly than Cyanide. Easily obtained. Could put many people at risk of zombie like state from its neurotoxin abilities. Alright now that we got that covered: 1. people will die at full strength. 2. Pufferfish + bacteria = fish farm 3. People will suffer a zombie like state but will need antidote or will die within a few days. Which enables a crazy dude to keep spreading it while people are busy rushing other to the hospital. It buys you time. Whether or not this is a bio-weapon, I don't know. I like the neutron bomb idea better, but you can't be around unlike TTX. But everything will be poisoned which is why a lot of people go with the neutronbomb.

don't you people mean sodium chloride? Last time I checked: Sodium + Moisture = BOOM You're pretty much on the target there flower dude.

If you were to say to me, "What is the homepage?" I would reply, "scienceforums.net" The main directory of the website.

I would have mentioned that sleep deprivation would drive you mad if you aren't allowed your REM sleep which happens after about 3 hours of going into sleep. But i'm late.

Here are a few problems I've come across. I think I understand Gaussian Elimination but it just confuses me to some extents. Instructions: Use matrices to solve each system of equations. Each system has one solution. I'm i'm looking at: 2x + y + 3z = 3 -2x - y + z = 5 4x - 2y - 3z = 10 So I decided to turn it into [ 2 1 3|3] [-2 -1 1|5] [4 -2 2|2] So from there I decided that when doing this gaussian thing the goal is to eliminate all numbers below the first digit in the first row to 0. I decided that I didn't need to exchange rows. R=Row R1 + R2 = [0 0 4 | 8 ] (new R2) Since that was done with I decided that I now had to move to row three. So to get rid of the 4 I have to make the first row negative. R1 * -2 = [ -4 -2 -6 |-3 ] [ -4 -2 -6 |-3 ] + [ 4 -2 2|2] ---------------------- [0 -4 -4 |-1] I don't really know if I did this right, and I don't know where to go after this step.

I find interesting things on the home page. It offers some of the most interesting articles on the forum boards. That's about the only reason I voted for that. It also gives you a quick way of noticing if someone replied to your post. It's a very nice feature, I'd keep it. Other than that, I would have multivoted for: Apollo2011 is a Smurf

Probably but with chlorine gas, a rebreather, some kewl explosives, and also something on the bottom of the bus to blow a hole so you can jump out with your leather coat on and some head protection. The passengers will be screwed. But that's only if you have a bomber who isn't a stupid newb screwing around or else a bomber who knows wtf they are doing. I mean you have to think about how well this terrorist is going to go through with things. Many buses have a type of air hole thing that will have air pushed on a person. It all depends on what the terrorist uses I guess. I think you have to consider ballistics and OTC chemical creations for the rent-a-bomber. I'm guessing you will have shrapnel and the physical properties of chemicals and how fast they can leave an area through a hole. With the idea of shrapnel though, if you hit the ground usually it might fly over you. Gases that are dense however tend to hover around the ground. I'm not going to go into this anymore than I should be.

I figured out that there is an x, y, and z variable in this word problem, but figuring it all out is somewhat confusing for me. Word Problem: The sum of three integers is 18. The third integer is four times the second, and the second integer is 6 more than the first. Find the integers. (x, y, z)

I developed the idea of parallel universes and all theories in my head, and I'd have to say that I don't really think they exist. That would be like having two supernatural ruling beings exist. It's just not going to happen. It could be possible though, we don't know everything. I mean there must be a way to create some type of realm of freespace. People say that parallel universes have a way of overlapping. If that's the case and there are tons of universes, that would make it like a ball of yarn and totally knock out the whole idea because everything would be whole.

What is a powerful but easy to learn for free?
Psion replied to Microman171's topic in Computer Science
Learn it for free? It's called a book. I think I saw them at my local library. Get one with a CD for creating C programs. Best language.... Whatever is being used to program robots and stuff right now. I mean, whatever has the most appliable use. All languages are different somewhat and have their uses. I stopped learning languages though, but I keep up with webdesign and actionscript. Those don't seem to be going away anytime soon. They keep upgrading which becomes annoying. I think the language used to program robots is better. C+ or something? I forget. I like that stuff better because you can create electronics and program them to do things, like fight. Of course more people are getting skilled with other languages to use on electronics, I think the C series is the best start. In all truth, all languages are good to learn. Learn to increase knowledge by practicing programming, joining forums on programing discussion, and working with people in projects. http://www.accu.org/resources/public/terse/learn.htm http://www.tundraware.com/Technology/How-To-Pick-A-Programming-Language/ -
nice. You're kinda on, but off. No, I don't think you could describe the world in binary. I would think, because of the digital vs. analog properties.

hmm... i see a hole I think. let me think about this... ME = Target it has a few choices here. go to server and check for people who have my name on their buddy list or go to my buddy list and check how many people on my buddy list have me on their list. either way, there is a supposed way to link up who you have spoken to before, or those who have you but never spoke to you. this leads a connection from one person to you. so i'm assuming there's a way to figure out who has you on their list. the application is looking at some database with people who are connected to you. i think there is a limit on how many people you can have on your buddy list so that would mean that it goes to a server and checks out how many people have added you to their buddy list. i probably shouldn't be discussion this but I hate AOL. so i'm guessing it would work like this. 1. input AIM_NAME 2. Search through database for AIM_NAME 3. Retrieve count of the users 4. Add up total count 5. display between 2 and 3 you will find who has you on their list. ========================================================= I'm sure with some manipulation you could find out who has you on their list. That's the only open thing I see. Kinda makes me think that your buddy list isn't password protected then. I mean if the server can access buddy lists and you don't need a password, then there isn't a password protection around buddy lists. There's probably some type of encryption though. Maybe? Heh. I'm sure someone will see this post. I guess when a person logs in on AIM then it just recognizes that you signed on and displays your buddy list because the server is told to retrieve it since you logged into (oscar)? i think it's oscar or something. i'm guessing the only thing that is password protected is sending and recieving messages. Also, profile info and other user details.

I have a quote for you that I've developed that I think you might want to take into consideration. "Fear holds us back from our greatest dreams and goals." Lots of interesting things can happen on a rainy day. You could come across a $20 bill or make a new friend. Meet a musician or see something magical. Fear holds us back from a lot of amazing things that happen in this world. Weather is a beautiful thing that many find an appreciation for. The cool rain beating on your face after a hot summer day can be refreshing and yet enlightening. You aren't constricted to the sink inside of the house where you can only splash your face with water. Sometimes nothing really triggers fear. Take into consideration people who are born with fear. We're only human, right? Many of us have some type of fear and it's only normal to have that. We are born with instincts that we must learn to overcome. Perhaps your instincts tell you not to go out in a storm. Taking advantage of the TV helps you avoid the situation. Avoiding things without experiencing is something that can turn into a cycle for people who do it. The best thing I can recommend to you is that you face your fears. You use logical thinking by going out into that environment and experiencing it. Not staying inside a house by thinking, but experiencing the world for what it really is. I find that if you dislike what you are doing to others or yourself, don't do it. Do the exact opposite.

To tell you the truth, I had a way of describing all of this.. let me look for it... ... Since the neurological pathways and physical components of the human body run off many chemical attributes that keep a balance within the human body through many pathways, it could be possible to create an electrical system with chemical attributes in a robotic system that would allow a robot to actually think like a human. The only thing that really messes up all of this science is the fact that humans are analog and robots are digital. We can evolve to unlimited possibilities keeping intune with universal physics. Robots are somewhat limited UNTIL they can find a way to tune into the universal physical laws thus finding an infinite attribute to unlimit themselves to.. but god hope that doesn't happen cause we'd be screwed. that was a discussion i had with people on grey goo. but i guess this could be applied to any type of A.I. in other words: create an artificial brain exactly like the human type, you can have a robot that's just like a human. i wouldn't want to be the scientist that created an A.I. that could have robots on the same field as humans having the same mental abilities though. i guess in a way it's limited. i think this would have to do with digital vs. analog because we can do many things at once while they do one process after another. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_process In short, they won't become more intelligent than us. They will be the same as us, when the processing part gets leaped over. Just like some people are more intelligent than others. Robots will have the same power. AI may be able to learn faster and become more intelligent and be ahead of the human race 1000 years, but the human race will eventually catch up. In the end we would all be equal. A.I. is a very, very, very deep topic which I could talk for hours about.

0_0!! *checks link* holy crap my ex has over 6000. yeah with a bit of work it could be done. I think that thing that might be complicated is who's whom's friend?
