It didn't have a very good record for safety, as I remember.

I've got this program: http://www.acereader.com/ I don't know if it will make you read faster, but it's got a great test that will measure your speed.

Pre-calculus, in our school system is a variety of isolated topics from analytical geometry and linear algebra.

No air, no wind; no question.

Gold will form two compounds with fluoride: AuF3 ( gold (III) fluoride) and AuF5 (gold (V) fluoride.)

This ones gotta be sixty years old at least. Piston aircraft engines, before they all became injected, used carb-heat as a way of stopping the fuel vapor from recondensing in the throat and intake manifolds, which lowered fuel efficiency, and to keep it from icing up from condensation. Evey once and a while someone would think that applying this to car motors will save gas. Didn't work then. won't work now.

I like to think that exogenesis is the explanation for life's beginning on this planet. In fact I will go as far as to say I am a devout panspermia supporter, live has shown itself to be incredibly hardy, so the idea that some germ of it could survive the trip from another world is not that farfeched

The telling thing is that the study was not testing the politicians themselves, but their supporters, the ones that vote them in before we drop all of governments' problems at the feet of the politicians, maybe we should look to our own voting habits.

Metallurgical microscopes are not uncommon items - as for interpreting the results - that's were you come in. You will have to run controlled tests with the alloys that you are interested in and compare them with results from the items under investigation. The process I gave you by the way, is only for mild steels and cast iron. If you need to do this with any others you need a separate suite of etches.

Tired but can't sleep. why?
DV8 2XL replied to clarisse's topic in Anatomy, Physiology and Neuroscience
Mostly it is stress or worry that causes classic insomnia. But there may be other medical reasons. -
Pillage some NiCr wire out of a discarded toaster or toaster-oven and experiment with various lengths. If you don't have the theory, your best to work empirically, until you do.

My daughter got her International Baccalaureate three years ago. Begging for help from strangers on the web, hardly provides evidence for something of "exceptional educational magnitude." You might consider that even after acceptance into the program about ten percent were culled out as unsuitable in the first term. If you can't cut it on your own getting in, how do you expect to survive?

Probably easier to buy on, but if you want to go homemade you will need to supply us with more detail; like wattage and size.

Apparently it's atomism and divisionism; or so I am told by my daughter's boyfriend, the third-year philosophy student.

rotating a disk magnet above an identical disk mag
DV8 2XL replied to labview1958's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
You would have to use a point magnamometer,or like I said above the - iron fillings test -
I would doubt there was a alternative theory at the time.

Found this on homemade cloud chambers. If you can't get hold of a GC you might want to try this. http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?SID=mail&articleID=0005C4AD-1E94-1C71-84A9809EC588EF21 He claims it costs less than $30 to put together. Or the so-called diffusion cloud chambers which require little more than dry ice and isopropyl alcohol. Cheaper and easier than the above.

That's the explanation I'm betting on too. You could do the iron fillings test with the magnet under a sheet of paper to see if this is what's going on. -
Enchants: 10% by weight ammonium persulfate in water 5% hydrochloric acid in alcohol 5% hydrochloric acid and 1% hydrofluoric acid in water 4% nitric acid in alcohol Process: Solvent clean area under investigation Polish area to a mirror finish with a series of fine-grit water soluble compounds Clean with 5% by weight sodium hydroxide solution at 90-100deg C Rinse with deionized water and dewater/dry by applying methanol Etch with pre-prepared solution starting with the first on the list Rinse with deionized water and dewater/dry by applying methanol Examine area under a metallurgical microscope with polarized light If results are not satisfactory, repeat process from the top with next etching solution on the list.

Before I go into detail, be aware that this is a rather destructive process and it will mar the item in question permanently. Second, not much quantitative data can be had from a set of stress riser indications unless you have a set of them to compare from similar events and material.

That's what UPS is for.
